New Poll: GOP In Danger Of Losing House In November

A newly released poll from Public Policy Polling shows that the GOP is by no means assured of retaining control of the House after the mid-term elections next fall. Apparently, a major factor in turning the electorate against many Republican incumbents was their vote to shut the government down last October.

Although they tried to place the blame on the President and Senate Democrats, it has long been apparent that the voting public is not gullible, knowing that it was the House Republicans and their determination to find a way to repeal Obamacare who were actually responsible for the shutdown.

The Democratic Party still needs an outstanding GOTV effort.

If Republicans Win the Senate, What Crisis Will Mitch McConnell Cook Up Next?

The most recent forecast by Fivethirtyeight gives Republicans a sixty percent chance of winning a majority of the Senate in November’s elections. Given that any bill already has to pass the Republican-controlled House, the effect of a Republican Senate upon President Obama’s legislative agenda can be calculated at zero, with a margin of error of zero. You can’t kill something that is already dead.

On the other hand, what is currently alive, albeit barely, is a fragile peace that has enabled the functioning of the traditional separation-of-powers relationship between the branches of government. The survival of that peace depends entirely on a Democratic Senate. Almost nobody seems to be thinking about the potential chaos that could lie ahead.

"I find this war on women rhetoric almost silly," Blackburn (GOP Rep on TV) insisted.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) asserted over the weekend that the Republican Party was the party of "women's equality" days after Senate Republicans blocked the Paycheck Fairness Act.

In a party line Senate vote last week, Republicans refused to allow debate on a bill that would have require employers prove that women were not being discriminated against.

CBS host Bob Schieffer on Sunday asked Blackburn if the vote would hurt Republicans with women voters in the midterm elections.

"I find this war on women rhetoric almost silly," Blackburn insisted.

One Reason the Democratic Candidates lose elections is the Conservative leaning media

The United States MSM is really conservative orientated. Their organizational policies really promote Republican candidates. For example:

What is up with MSNBC and their bizarro campaign finance policies? Apparently Democratic pundits aren't allowed to appear at fundraising events, but conservatives are.

The DNC is up in arms over Joe Scarborough being allowed to appear at the Cheshire County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner, while they nixed Ed Shultz's planned appearance at Broward County Democrats' fundraiser in Florida:

The Democratic National Committee's top spokesperson has sent a letter to MSNBC President Phil Griffin, accusing the network of a "double standard" after its decision to allow host Joe Scarborough, a Republican, to speak at what is, for all intents and purposes, a Republican fundraiser.

On Fox’s MediaBuzz, John Aravosis calls out Fox’s promotion of discredited Obamacare “Horror Stories

John Aravosis:

The guests were – how shall I put it? – less than receptive to a positive message about the Affordable Care Act. And when one guest started talking about all the “horror stories” of people “hurt” by health care reform, I felt it important to correct the record. So I did.
