Dem Mark Herring Wins VA AG

The last of the votes to be tallied in Virginia, prior to the certification deadline at 11:59pm ET tonight is done. With the Fairfax County provisional ballots optically-scanned and added to the totals, it appears that the Democratic candidate Mark Herring will be declared the "winner" for now, by just 163 votes --- out of more than 2.2 million cast --- over Republican Mark Obenshain.

What does Palin say or mean?

When asked about her ideas for an alternative health plan other than the. ACA Palin said:

Said Palin: "The plan is to allow those things that had been proposed over many years to reform a health-care system in America that certainly does need more help so that there's more competition, there's less tort reform threat, there's less trajectory of the cost increases, and those plans have been proposed over and over again. And what thwarts those plans? It's the far left. It's President Obama and his supporters who will not allow the Republicans to usher in free market, patient-centered, doctor-patient relationship links to reform health care."

What did Palin mean by this comprehensive answer?

Jewish leaders ‘infuriated’ by Bush speech at ‘Jews for Jesus’ fundraiser

On Monday night’s edition of her show, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow addressed the fallout of former President George W. Bush’s decision to speak at a fundraiser at the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute, the headquarters for the apocalyptic Christian sect Jews for Jesus. Jewish leaders in particular were disappointed in Bush, one calling the appearance “infuriating.”

Jews for Jesus is an evangelical Christian splinter group, a small but well-funded cabal of believers whose faith decrees that all Jews must be converted to Christianity and repatriated to Israel in order to hasten the Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Missing ballots in VA

"The more I look at the data, the totality of the evidence points towards the likelihood that there are [approximately] 3,000 untallied Fairfax Co. votes," tweeted Dave Wasserman, political analyst at the Cook Political Report, tonight. He's been going over the state's reported numbers with a fine tooth comb --- and a publicly crowd-sourced Google spreadsheet --- since Election Night.

"And if there are indeed [approximately] 3,000 missing Fairfax #VA08 absentee votes, that'd almost certainly be the miracle Herring (D) needs to pull ahead," he continued. "What a complete reversal of fortune in #VAAG race in just the last few hours."

"The 2,500-3,000 missing votes happen to be from some of the most Democratic precincts in Fairfax County. Big margin for Herring," tweeted Ben Tribbett tonight, who Wasserman lauded on Twitter. "No one knows Fairfax politics more intimately than" him, he said.

"It appears to me there is solid evidence of missing votes," Tribbet observed, before later adding that he spoke tonight to the Republican election board member Schoeneman "and explained the issue to him." Tribbet added: "Glad to have a Republican on Elec-Board making sure every vote counts."

(Beware!) Mark Halperin: 'Chris Christie is Someone Who is Magical'

It's going to take a whole lot more than magic for the Villagers' new anointed one, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, to change the Republican party. As much as the pundits in the media want to pretend that Christie is some sort of moderate, that's not going to change the fact that he's actually a hardcore conservative, a right-wing bully and a jerk.

Nicole warned us yesterday before these shows aired that we were going to see a coronation of Christie taking place and boy was she right. Here's an example of the slobbering from this Sunday's Meet the Press:

Here comes the Hardcore propaganda that Chris Christie is the appointed one by the MSM..........

Memo from State Board of Elections delays final tally in heavily Democratic Fairfax County

Memo from State Board of Elections delays final tally in heavily Democratic Fairfax County, where hundreds of provisionals remain...

As of late Saturday, just 55 votes separated the Democratic candidate from the Republican in the Virginia Attorney General's race, according to the State Board of Elections (SBE) website. 55 votes out of more than 2.2 million cast after four days of canvassing, double-checking and processing a number of provisional ballots cast across the state during last Tuesday's election.

Snip

For what it's worth, it's the Republican state Sen. Mark Obenshain currently leading the Democratic state Sen. Mark Herring by either 55 votes or 15 votes or somewhere in between right now. But there still remain between 400 and 500 provisional ballots to be adjudicated and possibly added to the totals in heavily Democratic-leaning Fairfax County as of Saturday night, according to Michael McDonald, a specialist in American elections at George Mason University in Fairfax.

Perry Applauds Cruz: GOP Should Have 'Laid the Wood to the President'

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) on Sunday suggested that Republicans had not gone far enough in attacking President Barack Obama over his health care reform law -- even though the party had forced a government shutdown and threatened to default on the nation's debt.

In an interview that aired on ABC's This Week, Perry insisted to reporter Jeff Zeleny that he "certainly enjoyed" Cruz' 21-hour Senate speech attempting to defund the Affordable Care Act.

"It would have been wiser for us to have laid the wood to the president -- so to speak -- in the sense of being able to call him out on this, let it become an issue of, 'Mr. President, you own this,'" Perry explained.

Republicans Just Changed The Rules After A Virginia Election To Change The Outcome

According to a report by WTOP radio, the Virginia State Board Of Elections decided Friday to change rules relevant to Fairfax County, banning legal representatives from helping count votes, unless the associated voter was actually present. The board changing the rules is dominated by Republicans.

Fairfax County's Electoral Board said Saturday that the modification affects hundreds of voters, and WTOP added that both Secretary Brian Schoeneman and Board Chairman Seth Stark expressed disagreement with the ruling.

GOP super PACs gear up to fight tea party

The effort is the biggest reevaluation of the Republican Party’s outside money strategy since the dawn of the super PAC era — bringing traditional big dollar donors into the primary races that pulled the party in a direction that alienated those donors in the first place.

Swastikas, Slurs and Torment in Town’s Schools

The swastikas, the students recalled, seemed to be everywhere: on walls, desks, lockers, textbooks, computer screens, a playground slide — even on a student’s face.

Snip

For some Jewish students in the Pine Bush Central School District in New York State, attending public school has been nothing short of a nightmare. They tell of hearing anti-Semitic epithets and nicknames, and horrific jokes about the Holocaust.
