A blue whale is currently fighting for it's life in a fishing net, prompting a massive rescue effort.
The endangered whale is towing about 200 feet of net and is slowly dying.
Demand an immediate ban on fishing nets in the vicinity of all blue whale habitat and a full effort to rescue this innocent creature.
A 70-80 foot blue whale was spotted off the coast of California, entangled in crab lines and dragging several buoys.
Rescue efforts by the Orange County Sheriff's Department Harbor Patrol and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have so far proven unsuccessful.
While the whale can swim for long distances while entangled, it is slowly dying and must be rescued soon.
NOAA has confirmed 22 other cases of fishing line entanglement off the coast of California, Oregon and Washington recently.
In the majority of cases, rescue efforts were unsuccessful.

While Republican Governors across the country are working hard to disenfranchise voters before the upcoming elections, Democratic Governors are doing the opposite - they are making it easier to vote.
In Oregon, automatic voter registration took effect in time for the May primaries -- where Oregonians will vote by mail for all races.
Oregon joins Washington and Colorado as the only three states offering vote by mail options.
In California, Governor Brown signed legislation that automatically registers eligible voters when they obtain or renew their driver's license at the DMV.
Once enacted, this could help 6.6 million Californians register with ease.
Pennsylvania, led by Governor Wolf, became the 23rd state in the nation to offer internet voter registration.
Governor Wolf promised online voter registration during his campaign for Governor and as of December 2015, more than 50,000 people have used the online application to either register or update their voter information.
In Vermont, Governor Shumlin signed legislation to allow same-day voter registration, becoming only the 14th state to do so.
Vermont has also begun to implement online voter registration.
Everyone should have the right to vote - and it should be free of arbitrary barriers meant to block Democratic votes.

Live Fox Cub Fed to Hounds - Punish the Killer Now (PETITION)

Video footage has emerged that seems to show live fox cubs being fed to dogs.
The footage, allegedly from South Herfordshire Hunt Kennels, in Herfordshire, U.K., shows a man taking a fox cub into the kennels, followed by loud barking.
The man is then shown disposing of the fox cub's body.
This practice is known as "cubbing" and is intended to teach the dogs to kill.
Fox hunting is banned in the U.K. but hunters are allowed to pursue drag hunting -- where hounds follow an artificial scent trail.
Intentionally killing foxes is illegal, but accidentally killing foxes is not.
There have previously been allegations that fox hunting kennels engineer "accidental" encounters with foxes.
Three people have already been arrested and released on bail based on the video.
The kennel is closed and is under investigation.
However, the only way to guarantee that the people responsible are prosecuted is to make it clear that cruelty against animals will not go unnoticed

Dog With Artery Exposed By Six Pound Chain Deserves Justice

A South Carolina dog was reportedly found with a six-pound chain wrapped around her neck, causing her main artery to be exposed.
The one-year-old pit bull terrier, named Roxanne, was barely alive and her head was swollen beyond belief.
Veterinarians had to use bolt cutters to get the chain off, then Roxanne was rushed for emergency surgery where 95 percent of her neck was stitched up.
They stated that her entire neck was open and bleeding from the chain that was slowly choking her to death.
The veterinarians and rescue team that are assisting Roxanne with her fight to survive say that they have notified authorities of the horrific abuse.
So far, it would appear that this innocent dog's abuser is still at large.
Please sign this petition urging authorities to utilize all resources to find and prosecute this cruel abuser to the maximum extent.
