Kang Colby's JournalTonight's probable outcome...
Bernie nets 3 or 4 delegates. Yes, 3 or 4.
It's really over. Never forget the relentless rules of humble arithmetic.
To All The Bernie Supporters
I want to apologize. I made a lot of over the top comments here on DU about his candidacy and his supporters over the last year. I don't really feel that way.
I wish you all the best of luck over the next month. If Bernie wins, I would gladly vote for him in November. Any comments about Hillary that got under my skin are just water under the bridge.
I know how many of you probably feel, I felt it in 2008. Even if Bernie loses, it will be OK. He brought a great deal of visibility to his platform, and I think that helps us all. If Bernie wins, it's because he earned it.
We Are More Afraid Than Ever of Gun Violence, But the Truth Is the Murder Rate Is at a 50-Year Low
Now, about that data. As the image at the top of the post demonstrates, the U.S. murder rate is now lower than it has been in half a century. According to some measures, the current murder rate approaches the lowest levels seen in more than 100 years. Or maybe even ever.
As for mass shootings in the U.S.? James Alan Fox, a Northeastern University criminologist and co-author of Extreme Killing: Understanding Serial and Mass Murder, has shown that the number of incidents defined as any shooting in which four or more people died has remained steady over recent decades, despite the doubling of the U.S. population since 1960. Regarding gun deaths as a whole, the data just about exactly parallels the overall U.S. homicide rate.
Additionally, Pew recently asked Americans whether the number of gun crimes has gone down, gone up, or stayed the same over the past 20 years. Bear in mind that the gun murder rate is half what it was, and the rate of non-fatal gun crimes is about a quarter of what it was 20 years ago. Only 12 percent said gun crimes were down, 26 percent said they were the same, and 56 percent said theyve gone up.

Apologies in advance, as this article is about six months old.
I think it's interesting because the author points out that when Americans are led to believe violence is out of control, legislatures tend to react. Last time this phenomenon occurred, the result was prison policies that led to mass incarceration. Could gun controllers attempt to pad the "gun violence" numbers with suicides obstruct efforts at criminal justice reform? Food for thought.
Lastly, despite the proliferation of liberalized carry, violent crime is way down.
X-Post from GCRA: "Naaa, they're not marketing to kids . . ."
Now this is an incredibly misleading post and I have not researched whether or not there was any controller outrage regarding this issue, but for the sake of discussion I will assume control minded folks expressed some degree of butthurt somewhere. They always do.
So, a small gun shop builds a one of a kind custom Glock "Nintendo Zapper" for a friend of the shop's owner. The shop made a Facebook post about the custom job and the rest is history. Controllers tried to spin it like the gun industry is purposefully producing Nintendo lookalike pistols. LOL
You can't make this stuff up. Such desperation.

Here is a better article that provides a quote from the gun shop:
In light of the Nintendo Glock drama, we feel that the media and our fans need to know that this firearm will not be mass produced nor will it ever be. This is a one off custom build for a friend of ours. Do to the thousands of emails and messages we have received in the past 2 days we have been unable to contact everyone in a timely manner, please be patient we will get to you as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support! Oh, and please.. keep your guns locked up and away from children, its common sense.

Bernie's concession speech?
If Bernie loses New York to Hillary, will we hear his concession speech within the following 24 hours? If so, do you think he will call for his supporters to unify in support of Hillary Clinton?
HILLARY SUPPORTERS - TURN YOUR SPEAKERS UP!!!
AFTER THE WEEK WE HAD POST MICHIGAN, WHILE WE NEVER LOST TRACK OF THE MATH, I THINK IT'S TIME WE CELEBRATE!!!
I THINK I FOUND THE PERFECT SONG! LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, CRANK YOUR SPEAKERS UP AND LET'S DANCE!!!!
HRC 2016!!!
Why did Hillary lose Michigan?
I've supported the Clintons for 25 years and tonight was heart breaking for me. She didn't do as well with women as I think she should have. She needs to do more to have our message resonate with young voters. Bernie destroyed her with the independent vote.
What do you think she/we should do? I think she needs to make some adjustments with her campaign strategists. It's time to connect better with a broader demographic over trade issues. I would also cease any further references to gun control. Those two issue alone probably cost us over 7% of the vote tonight.
Overall, while I'm happy about our delegate lead, missing a chance to shutter any doubt about her nomination is a major disappointment. Had she have won 67/33, the Sanders campaign would have lost all momentum coming into IL and OH next week.
Honest question for Sanders supporters....
When Frank Jensen steps down, will Bernie be ready to step up?
Hillary averages $275,000 per speech....
Bernie averages $27.00 per donation. Would you rather have a Maybach or a Papa John's pizza?
I think this is a point we should embrace. A half hour of her time EARNS more than 99.99999% of men on earth. Any guess why she earns so much? Because her wisdom and expertise is worth every penny.
Think about it for a minute. I think one thing is clear...HRC is a BAMF.
