Now those who have seen it or bothered to stay--This question was brought up by my wife. Before I begin this question or anything. I should explain--with my wife's permission. She was sexually assaulted so when we watched chapter 17/S02E04 she did find it a bit disturbing the way Clair used her assault as a way to divert from the whole abortion question.

Yes, it is fiction but with the whole Rape culture talk and just the way the abortion issue has been treated by Republicans lately. It just seem to make her uncomfortable on a little BUT hey there was a side of her that was glue to the TV and can't wait to see the undoing of the General.

Did anyone find it a little uncomfortable with it or is it just a work a fiction and get over it?

Mgybe the increase in the Min wage needs to be put in a way Repugs love the idea. If the min

wage is increase that means more money for the government to tax and collect and that gives them MORE MONEY for Pork Barrel spending so they can pretend to be against BIG Government and taxes but in reality they are at the money feeding getting the money for there pet projects.

Check in if you think Min Wage will be raised this year OR if we will see this issue disappear in 6

months.

Now granted my wife and I are lucky to make above Min Wage. I make about $3.00 more an hour while my wife makes about $1.75 more. But even with that a raise would make things a little easier for us.

I don't want to get my hopes up. My wife is so frustrated with politics she thinks in 6 months no one will be talking about it AND it is a whole lot of noise for nothing.

Yeah, I will say my wife and I aren't going to even hope for this to happen. Are we too pessimistic? Can it actually happen? Not so much for us but those who actually are making Min wage. Yes, my wife and I would benefit but all in all it would be nice to see the right thing actually be done without the rich or politicians or lobbyists getting this done so they get something.

Terms of endearment? Are they regional cultural or habit forming?

When I was a child my uncles and my Dad would refer to my brothers and I as Big Guy. which to me isn't that strange. I wasn't big but I always looked at it as a way of saying I was growing up.

Now what I find strange is the fact that My wife's family refer to the children by titles of the people addressing them. Like her sister or cousins (the female ones) will call there children Mom, mommy, Mum. Like "What's wrong, Mom" or "aren't you feeling good, Mommy?" During our recent visit to the cousin's house her cousin's husband was feeding the young six month old daughter and he was talking to the child saying "hmmm, you like that Daddy, don't you."

It was very strange to me. But than I heard my wife refer to the kids or address the kids as Aunt.

Now I'm not sure if this is basically an Arab-christian thing but I have heard my mother-in-law tell stories about her father--who was Italian decent and he would refer to her as Dad.

Has anyone else seen or heard this type of endearment being used or is it just something in this culture thing?

I'm not trying to make fun or anything but since it is a weekend I thought I'd ask.

Just a rant: I swear I would gladly live in a town with no hospital than to go to the hospital in

our town!

This is my wife's town so I have not lived here more than our marriage so I can't speak to care and treatment for when the town had to hospitals BUT this hospital that is now in this town is a danger!

My wife went to see an ex- client of hers for there traditional monthly movie day. The client's new care attendant has had a headache for 4 days. He explained to my wife he went to the hospital for help. They wanted to do a spinal tap thinking meningitis. They poked this guy 9 times. He lifted his shirt to show my wife and she said it was creepy looking. The hospital did that too him last night when they failed to get they gave him a shot of something and sent him home.

He went back to the hospital ( while my wife was with the client) and the hospital told them they could refer him to a pain management specialists.

He came back to the client's house and to call a friend to take him to a nearby town's hospital.

My wife was really concerned about the attempted spinal taps. She stressed to him to tell the hospital he goes to about the 9 spinal tap.

But the reason why I am venting is that I can't CAN'T believe a hospital as bad as this town's hospital is still in business.

I have told my wife and she has told me anytime we need to go to a hospital we avoid that place at all cost.

My wife has made a follow up appointment for Brody--The Cat.

My wife is concerned. She says when she pets Brody she is feeling his ribs and bones. I think he is gaining weight. When I lift him up he feels like he is gaining weight.

He is throwing bigger chunks of food and he won't touch hard food after trying to eat it and throwing it up.

His third eye lid is partly covering his eye still. Wife is concerned it my be nerve damage which in the long run isn't as bad because he is playing with our other cats.

The vet tech did suggest that Brody's throat may still be sore from the surgery which my wife was thinking as well but what my wife is concerned about is the fact that a friend/client of her who has had cats is concerned with Brody still losing weight even though he is eating the majority of 3 cans a day that he tumor was probably cancerous. We couldn't afford the biopsy because the surgery took more than the vet thought. The tumor was bigger than she first thought --we aren't blaming the vet we realized it was hard to determine how big the lump was.

But if he does have cancer we want to make him as happy and comfortable as possible until he starts to suffer. we don't want him to suffer.

I think my wife wants to know because she needs to prepare herself. She loves all our cats but Brody has her wrapped around her paw. He has laid on her while she is sleep and he is laying there like a Sphinx guarding her. This cat will follow her from room to room and I jokingly call him "her lover" because he is always nuzzling her and petting her. When she comes home from work 9 times out of 10 she has to kneel down in front of the bed while he jumps up onto the bed and "pets" her face and he'll even bashed his head into her lips as a way of getting kiss. He even touches his little "lips"/closed mouth to her lips.

We have this high calorie paste that we have tried to get Brody to eat but he hates it. We have mixed it in soft food gotten a syringe and pushed it into his mouth but he spits it out. any suggestions?

New York McDonald’s fires 8-year worker after she donates food to firefighters

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/02/19/new-york-mcdonalds-fires-8-year-worker-after-she-donates-food-to-firefighters/

A McDonald’s restaurant in New York fired a worker after 8 years because she “opened a whole bee’s nest” by buying food for firefighters after they put out a house fire, she said this week.

Heather Levia, 23, told WIVB that she was working as a manager when the group of firefighters came in and ordered 23 breakfast sandwiches after fighting the blaze. It was a cold day so Levia covered the $83 cost of the meals herself.

“Just because I appreciate everything they do,” she said.

What is the best TV episode or TV scene you have watched in the last 30 years?

It can be funny, or touching, or dramatic or anything you like.

Now I am not a Doctor Who fan like my wife but I will say I have seen the Episode Blink and that one was just amazing to me.

This right here is my favorite part. If you can find the Whole episode and watch it you will understand why these 35 seconds just give me goosebumps.

My wife and her friend being- bored are trying to come up with some of the best TV list they have ever seen.

So far on the list:

The first episode of Mad Men

The last episode of House of Cards (British version)

Twilight Zone "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street"

There are a lot of All in the Family episodes.

West Wing "Noel"

Users of Android Tablets are you having issues?

For our anniversary last year I got my wife a tablet so that she can play games she likes. She isn't into xbox or playstation games but she likes those match 3 and hidden object games and wanted to play them on something portable.

So I got her an android extreme (Yes, I will admit I got it on sale. We place a budget for gifts and it would be a combo anniversary gift and birthday gift.) So in the past year she has placed a lot of free games for the Android via Amazon and more importantly she has bought games for the tablet via Amazon.

a FEW weeks ago she notice it was harder to connect or open the games she bought using the amazon android app store. It has gotten worse she cannot get onto Amazon to download or buy any games she is locked out COMPLETELY now. And the only way she can get apps now is going to the "android app" center and downloading those apps. In order to buy she has to have one of those G-mail REAL name e-mail which would be shared with those playing the same games as her.

I think we will be looking for a new tablet for my wife IF these issues cannot be resolved.

Anyone else having these issues?
