SNL isn't funny tonight

Sad. We could have used a good one.

My Kingdom for a Sharpie!

I was sorely tempted this evening. I had to pick up some groceries and there was a giant pick up truck in the parking lot. Camo fenders, NRA stickers, gun warnings, AND a huge Trump Pence 2020 sign on the back.

If I had a fat sharpie in my purse, it would have given me great pleasure to write LOSER across that sign.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have done it - sharpie or no - because the dude would probably have come out of the store and caught me. I didn't want to find out if he really did have a gun!

Oh well, I got to say LOSER out loud to his sign as I left.

Mozart Requiem

My Chorale group sang this earlier this year. It was a magical experience.

Here's the video of the performance.

I'm in the second row from the top on the left side (sopranos).

Choral singing is one of the things I miss most about staying home.

OK. So I'm a terrible person

But I think Kayleigh MacaWhoositz looks like one of those porn dolls.

Especially in the picture in this article from Raw Story.

I told you that I'm terrible. It's a completely sexist thing to say.

But she does.

A Question for DU Legal Eagles re: DOJ taking over Defamation Case

The New Puppy!

Meet Snoopy! The shelter gave him the name Snoop and Snoopy just fits. I posted a while ago about a dog we were considering adopting named Mitzi, but we decided that she wasn't the right fit for us. This little guy is likely part hound, part lab. He is about 4 months old - already crate trained and potty trained. He's sweet and funny. Just the right medicine for these times.

Hope the photos work.

Edited to add: Thanks to chowder66 for the instructions for uploading the pictures.

Death Star?

Remember Brad Parscale's declaration back in May that the Trump Campaign was a "Death Star"?

Anybody here remember what the Rebel Alliance did to them? Four times?

Some Happy News for Today

We lost our sweet dog Riley last fall and we were heart broken. He was a beautiful and sweet German Shepherd Dog (about 90 lbs.) and we loved him dearly. He joined our family as an 8 week old puppy and was 10 when he crossed over.

Today we found an 8 month old puppy GSD mix little girl at the local shelter and she chose us! We are over the moon! We have decided to name her Maizy and even though we can't bring her home until after she has been spayed in early August, we will be visiting her every day.

In these dark and difficult days, sometimes we need to celebrate something lovely.
