Wait Wut
Wait Wut's JournalRandom thoughts on a Saturday morning...
These are the things I started thinking about when I woke up:
1. I miss our Uncle Teddy. I can't help but think he'd be getting shit done and kicking some teaper ass.
2. Vitacost rules. After 15 years of not being able to do anything about my fibromyalgia, I found a reprieve...and Vitacost is helping.
3. My cats need a hobby besides annoying me.
4. It's officially monsoon season and the weather report will say "30% chance of rain" until September. Arizona has lazy meteorologists.
5. Dinner. Dinner. Dinner. I'm sick of coming up with ideas for friggin' dinner. I need a chef. A maid and a personal assistant would be nice, as well.
6. DU has become my home. The Lounge is my media room, Meta is Thanksgiving with the family, the BOG is the kitchen.
7. TV sucks. Netflix rules.
8. I miss my kids (my son and his wife). They're only 1.75 hours away, but it's 110° in Phoenix and our van needs a fan clutch.
9. My stepsons wife is a piece of shit and needs fucking therapy.
10. I have a lot to do today, but I think I'll procrastinate on 90% of it.
Enjoy your weekend, my lovelies.
Another Drummer Thread...
We're finally getting the swamp cooler fixed today.
Thank God not all drummers are pizza delivery guys. This one is the husband's former drummer and HVAC licensed.
Although, pizza sounds good, right about now. Where the hell did I put that bass player's number?
What did you people do this time?
You've frightened MineralMan and he's attempting to rally Meta.
Hotel California, indeed. There is no pink champagne here and the mirrors haven't been cleaned in years.

He does sorta have a point though. What was Skinner thinking putting the Lounge between GD and Meta?
I've decided to go on a diet...until tomorrow.
The Lounge is full of shit, boogers and unappetizing Asian cuisine. I've lost my appetite. It's like hanging out in the high school cafeteria at the nerds table.
Anyone know anything about beavers?
Stop it. Not that kind of beaver. The little furry ones. Good grief...with the tail.
There is a "dry" creek behind where I work and there was a beaver in it. Everyone told me I'm crazy because "there are no beavers in Arizona." I'm not stupid. I lived in Illinois most of my life. I know a damned beaver when I see it. I also know that cats don't leave marks like that on trees.
Why would a beaver be in a dry creek? The creek does occasionally have a LOT of water flowing, but only when it rains or snows. Up until about 5 years ago, it was still flowing.
Are you done? Think again...
My heart broke last nite. Not just for Wisconsin, but for our nation and democracy. But, something happened this morning that brought me to a level of fight that I havent felt since 08. A beautiful friend of mine in Wisconsin posted to her FB, Bring on November! We arent done, yet!!! Yes, shes disappointed as much as anyone, but shes ready for the next battle. So am I. What happened last nite was disgusting. Im sick and tired of the lies. Of the sidestepping. Of the ridiculous wars that Republicans are waging on women, the poor, the middle class, on the environment and on the American people, in general.
I have my Obama/Biden 2012 calendar right beside my head at work. There are milestones and notes on events that have occurred since 2008. Each day I see a note, Im going to post it here. I ask that those of you that can afford it, donate $1, $5 or $10 (or more? ) on that day. I also ask that you leave a message on the donation page referencing that occasion. Possibly even a shout out to DU?
For example, tomorrows note: Hillary Clinton endorses Obama, 2008 Im going to copy and paste that with an added, Thanks, Hillary, for your support! We love you! - a member of DU
Im far, far from wealthy. But, I do set aside an amount to be donated to causes each month. It may not be much, but my small donation combined with others could make a statement.
Whataya say, my brothers and sisters? I know it seems small, but its something. Im not done, yet, either!
Oh, and I ask...no, beg...those of you that are rolling your eyes or getting ready to type up some negative statement about our President, please...start your own thread. Ive had enough negativity this week.
The comments on this article are heartbreaking.
But, not surprising. I live in Hell. The people here are cold, self-righteous assholes that only read the Bible for the anger and hatred, bypassing the words of love, tolerance and charity of their Christ. Yes, I was a Christian once. I still think Jesus was a fine dude. Pretty sure he wouldn't see feeding children as an evil Socialist plot.
This is no way for me to start a Monday. I actually have tears in my eyes. My heart is genuinely aching. But, I love you people. I know I can come here, see the same damned story and get a much different reaction.

Romney Feared W.H. Conspiracy To Stop Secret Solyndra Presser (TPM)
http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/05/romney-camp-fears-shadowy-obama-conspiracy-to-silence-candidate.php?ref=fpblgWe knew, if word got out, that Solyndra would do everything in their power, and the Obama administration would do everything in their power, to stop us from having this news conference,an unnamed adviser told reporters, per CNN.
/snip
Well, hes only the president of the United States, the adviser replied. I mean, they could work with town officials to deny us access.
/snip
I think there are people who dont want to see this event occur, dont want to have questions asked about this particular investment, Romney told reporters when asked about the secrecy behind the event, according to the New York Times.
Awesome. He's doing his job by becoming one of "them". FEAR, PARANOIA, CONSPIRACY!!! OMGGGGGGGG!!!!
Keep talking, Mitt.
