Legal/LEO experts, what charges will the Bundy Bunch face?

They were arrested on conspiracy to intimidate LEOs, or something of that nature.

What kind of sentences can they expect along with additional charges, and punitive fees?

It's unfair to compare Democratic debate ratings (after I scheduled them on days when you would be on a plane, watching the playoffs or out Christmas shopping) because Donald Trump is in the Republican field.

Oh, so having an opponent means it's unfair.

We are rudderless if this is what is guiding our party, and by no means do the dubious duo of Hillary and DWS need to be running us off of a cliff.

I'm a Democrat, but I'm not stupid. If you can look at that as a strategy, I'm pretty certain you can't spell strategy, figure out how to even get to the polls or figure out how to vote, on the off chance you happen to wander into your precinct's correct polling place on accident.

Forum Over Oregon Standoff Canceled Over Safety Concerns

A judge who planned to host a community meeting Monday over the standoff at an Oregon wildlife refuge has canceled it due to safety concerns.

Harney County Judge Steve Grasty said in a news release authorities had become aware of plans to protest the meeting and block the entrance to the county senior center, where it was to be held. Earlier Grasty had said that a no-guns policy would be strictly enforced at the meeting.

A spokeswoman for the county said Sunday afternoon she didn't have further information about the safety concerns or specifically who intended to block the senior center entrance.

An armed group led by Ammon Bundy has been occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge since Jan. 2 to protest federal land use policies. Oregon lawmakers have been increasing their pressure on federal authorities to step in and end the occupation.

The Bundy Takeover of the Malheur Refuge.

I am increasingly becoming convinced that somebody higher up in the government is protecting these yokels. During the Cliven situation, they had a sniper pointing a rifle at FBI personnel. They directly threatened their lives. Anybody else would be under the damn jail, and there is direct, identifiable evidence with photos showing who was doing the pointing. I've not heard of an arrest.

In the Malheur Refuge take over, they are allowed to come and go as they please unless one of them commits an obvious felon (Stealing a truck, a murderer carrying a firearm).

Supplies flow in. New militants show up. Using federal bulldozers to create a road right across an archaeological site because it was too inconvenient to get from the bunkhouse to the kitchen.

What the hell? Why has this been allowed to go on like this? All they are doing is inviting another group of lunatics to lay siege to other federal property.

Please do not taunt everyone with threads about how cold it is where you are.

It is January and I can walk around in shorts and I am not the least bit bothered, and that is on the "cool" days. Please don't discuss how "brutal" the cold has been. Come, let us reason together.

Oops, sorry for the heat stroke.

I'm still reconstructing everything that melted, boiled and generally said "It's too fucking hot" this summer. I was banking on at least getting below 50 (now it looks like 55 is our "woohoo" low) during this winter.

Do not taunt me with your -5F. I know what that is like, and you do not suffer provided you wear coats and head coverings.

The Oregon idiots have effectively cowed Federal Law enforcement.

The GOP is chomping at the bit for this to turn into a Waco style incident so that they can relentlessly hammer the Democrats for it.

They are getting away with this mess because of it. Throw in a huge dose of teabagger ideology that would love nothing more than a massive armed conflagration, and it's pretty clear why they are being handled with kid gloves.

It's not right, but that seems to me to be the reason Federal Law enforcement has let them slide.
