Anti-mob prosecutor: Pope Francis making the mafia ‘nervous and agitated’

Source: The Raw Story

Pope Francis’s crusade against corruption has made him a target for Italy’s all-powerful mafia clans, a leading anti-mob prosecutor has warned.

Nicola Gratteri, who has battled Calabria’s shadowy ‘Ndrangheta mafia, said on Wednesday that Francis’s attempt to bring transparency to the Vatican was making the white collar mobsters who do business with corrupt prelates “nervous and agitated”.

He told the Italian daily Il Fatto Quotidiano: “Pope Francis is dismantling centres of economic power in the Vatican.

“If the bosses could trip him up they wouldn’t hesitate. I don’t know if organised criminals are in a position to do something, but they are certainly thinking about it. They could be dangerous.”

Conservatives hate him. The Mob hates him.

I like this Pope. Hope he manages to stay alive.

Christian Book Review: Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey is a hit Christian novel about a wonderful man grooming his future wife in a fundamental skill, “Being Domestic Stay-at-home Mother”.

Etta James

Etta James, author
Fifty Shades of Grey is a superb Christian-romance novel series by American writer Etta James. The book quickly developed a cult-like following, because it shows what it is like for a woman to date and marry a sterling Christian man with Republican values. Women worldwide have come to realize the lifestyle, the thrills and excitement, that comes with marrying a man with a lofty moral compass, compassion for his woman and life and the capitalist blessings that God gives those of us who walk in his light.

James first came up with the book’s concept after reading Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series. ”What if these characters were realistic and Edward was a wealthy Christian,” she mused to herself. Starting off with just a bit of penned fan fiction for the net, James realized she had written her biggest hit yet by the instant cult following her writings received.
It was not before long that we got the first novel, then the latter two, that we will explore here and understand why Fifty Shades of Grey, just like most true Republican men, is irresistible to women.

Mitt Romney or Christian Grey?
Fifty Shades of Grey starts out in Seattle, where a college-literature student named Anastasia gets to interview a handsome, well-built 27-year-old billionaire venture capitalist named Christian Grey. When you read about Christian Grey, you immediately think about a young Mitt Romney.
Confident, Republican, dominant and commanding the submissive: these are all admirable Christian qualities that make women melt, as we find in this novel.

Christian Grey is an avatar for a young Mitt Romney in this book. James’ pick of the name ‘Christian Grey’ and use of Mitt Romney for his inspiration is perfect. Mitt Romney has Christian values, he is youthful but has those wise ‘greying’ temples, which sends women stamping their hind legs like a cat in heat.

Giant Fukushima Mutant Turtle Finally Captured By Japanese Military

Noto, Japan – Japan had to call on US naval seal teams to help reel the the iron-shelled beast in. Weighing in at over 7 tons, the locals had taken to calling the newest Fukushima mutant クッパ大魔王, quite literally translating to The Great Demon King Koopa (Bowser) of modern lore. Some residents claimed at night its eyes would glow red as it emerged from the waters, usually hungry for small children or cattle, but its appetite knowing no true limit. Other residents say the great demon turtle could be heard wailing in the distance, bellowing out toward the heavens and speaking ancient Japanese, the words they say were a call toward the dark gods of ancient.

Truly, this may have been a beast of the apocalypse, as far as locals in the decimated town of Noto, Japan, are concerned.

When US special forces were finally called in, one soldier recalled, “We watched the target gallop down a highway, running head first toward a brave semitruck driver determined to be heroic and knock the damned monster out with kamikaze tactics. Japanese officials frantically called him on his CB radio, telling him to turn around. I would say the turtle was running a good 20 miles per hour, it was insane! It was crazy.”

“The semi hit the giant turtle dead on and there was a huge explosion. The truck: decimated. The Fukushima turtle winced a bit in its eyes and then ran its tongue over its face, savoring the spent pieces of burnt metal and charred human flesh from the explosion. Suddenly, it made eye-contact toward where we were hiding and seemed to catch our scent. We evacuated by chopper and all our small arms fire did not put a dent in the beast, we may as well have been 6-year-old children throwing firecrackers.”

Nuclear power is to blame for this beast. We must stop using nuclear energy and letting capitalist fatcats build these death traps all over the globe. Nuclear power is dangerous and too much destructive potential for humanity to hold. We need to use clean energy. We need to stop warfare military industrial complex that is destroying your life, your wallet and your future. If we want this world to survive, we must stop nuclear energy or we will get more stories like this one.

Unfortunately, the giant mutant attacked the town of Noto, Japan. It literally tore through dozens of houses, ate 3 grown tigers and several goats at the local zoo, leaving a brave injured bull elephant to die, and then tried to eat a butcher’s van that is used to haul meat. US naval seal teams eventually acquired large quantities of meat and laced them with sleeping agents, timed packets of C4 and arsenic cobalt. Airdropping all this food in proxy to the turtle proved a viable tactic, as the beast quickly ate all the food as planned.

After two hours (enough to let the sleeping agents kick in) the bombs were detonated and the turtle did not move, nor seem injured. Naval teams then quickly approached, bound the turtle and with Japanese military officials, bound the animal in reinforced steel and hauled it to the nearest secure government research facility. In transport, the Fukushima mutant actually awoke and started growling out: all the internal explosions did not damage it one bit.

Fukushima News 11/7/13: Fukushima At Most Dangerous Phase Since 311; IAEA & Fukushima Seawater

Japan is bracing itself for the most dangerous operation at the Fukushima nuclear plant since it was crippled by a quake and tsunami in March 2011. The company running the facility plans to move radioactive fuel rods to safe storage. RT's Alexey Yaroshevsky is in Japan for us. Christina Consolo, Founder and Host of Nuked Radio, doubts that engineers will be able to pull this off - given the level of damage at the plant.

Fukushima plant prepared for uranium and plutonium removal
Nuclear engineers in Japan are preparing to move uranium and plutonium fuel rods at Fukushima, their most difficult and dangerous task since the plant's runaway reactors were brought under control two years ago.

IAEA experts inspect seawater checks off Fukushima
Two experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency have inspected the procedures for checking radioactivity in seawater off the damaged Fukushima plant.
David Osborn directs the IAEA Environment Laboratories in Monaco and Hartmut Nies is the head of the IAEA Radiometrics Laboratory.
They left Onahama port in Fukushima Prefecture on board a boat for seawater monitoring on Thursday.
The plant's operator, the Tokyo Electric Power Company, commissioned the boat to collect water samples within 20 kilometers of the facility.
The inspection took place after Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority and the IAEA agreed to cooperate to bolster the credibility of seawater checks and analysis.
International concern over radioactive contamination of the sea is growing because of repeated leaks of tainted water at the plant.
Osborn said methods to collect seawater samples were appropriate under international standards. He said the IAEA will continue to cooperate if requested by Japan.
On Friday, the team is scheduled to visit a facility where collected samples are analyzed for levels of radioactive substances.

This is an urgent, escalating catastrophe that must be addressed ASAP. The costs of financing the containment/cleanup far exceed the capabilities of Japan; the world community has a collective responsibility to share the financial burden. We petition the UN to set up an international group, free from conflicts of interest, to manage the ongoing disaster. This group would: 1. prepare an innovative remediation plan 2. gather the appropriate and required resources for such remediation, drawing without limitation on funding from the entire world 3. streamline the operations at the site, working with Japan 4. provide regularly published progress reports including prevailing risks to the worldwide community.

Legal Basis: The UN has a fiduciary duty to act immediately and decisively when collective human rights, basic livelihood, environmental security, and right to know are being jeopardized. Fukushima poses a risk of “omnicide” on a scale beyond our historical experience.
