He equivocated so much that essentally, he said nothing. Yes there is climate change, but it's not the only cause. The climate is always changing. It may change back. People say blah blah blah. Which people? He walks away.
That's what he does with everything. He equivocates and says nothing that might upset Exxon or Evangelicals.
We all knew that Trump at the fire site would be another meaningless butt show. That's our Donald - Champion butt show master.

She is not a vengeful, mean-spirited person, hell-bent on punishing those, who oppose her. She can lower the boom if need be, should a congressman make a racist or sexist remark, or get caught with their hand in the people's cookie jar. I predict that she will do her best to give the newbies, Dem and GOP, some committee assignments that they themselves request.

He's certainly establishment GOP. I imagine that a lot of never-Trumpers see him as a welcome relief.
How does anyone completely mess up the opportunity to respect the 100th anniversary
of the WWI armistace? How is that even possible? If you were in Paris last week-end, wouldn't you have wanted and made every effort to be there? It's not like the event was a big secret. The commemoration has been planned all year. And yet Trump managed to befoul and besmirch the event with his petulence, narcissism, and insults. He showed himself to be a rude and clueless asshole, an embarrassment to his country, and an unworthy and feckless ally to our European partners. What good is he? (That's a rhetorical question.)
Trump's disgusting performance in France this week-end
I have been a little surprised at the very wide negative reaction to Trump's disgraceful performance in France. My FB news feed is chock full of negative comments. People are outraged, embarrassed, and filled with shame for our country. There is absolutely nothing inspiring of honorable to report about his performance. No words of remembrance, no words for best quotes of great leaders, no words of unity, no words of respect and appreciation for our vets. Just nothing. Actually, his performance has been worse than nothing. Nothing would have been an improvement over the disrespect that he showed our allies, especially our French allies. France was our country's very first ally, since before we were even a nation.
Should be interesting to see what his polls are next week.

My dystopian thoughts for today
Before Trump's next 2 years are out, the economy will crash big time, due to the tariffs and the national debt. It won't be pretty. The House will not be able to repeal Trump's tax cuts, because the Senate will not go along. Troops will be sent overseas somewhere in a phony war with Iran.

Hey Beto voters! Cornyn's term is up in 2 years. More old white guy Trumpsters will be dead, and more youth and Hispanics will come of age to be eligible to vote. And we can work on persuading even more Hispanics to vote. We did a much better job of getting Hispanics to vote this time, just not quite good enough. But we are close, very very close.
What I don't understand
is how could Mass elect Elizabeth Warren by 60% and elect Rep Gov Baker by 67%. How did gthat happen?
