Nikki Haley was saying some blather about how Dems had ruined the economy with all the Covid money. Zap! hit the mute button. Then change the channel. See how far I last in the MSNBC analysis show. I how such low tolerance for Rep bullshit.

The electoral college

The electoral college is an antiquated relic that is patently unfair. It would require a constitution amendment to replace it with a more democratic and directly elected POTUS. Seems the chances of that happening are slim and none. But are any current representatives or senators working on replacing it?

Next week's Republican debate

I wasn't going to watch it, but now I'm curious enough to try and sit through it. Not sure how much of their lies and bullshit I can calmly sit through. I mostly want to hear Christie bash TFG. And I'm curious how Pence will present himself as "Mr Integrity" after 4 years of being TFG's silent toady.

They idolize Trump based on envy

They envy his wealth and seeming power. They envy his seeming ability to get away with publicly vile racism, misogyny, corruption, hatred, outright fraud, stiffing the people he owes. They want to be just like him, except maybe not under, what is it now? 91 indictments and maybe more coming? Now that conviction and imprisonment is in his future, some are becoming disillusioned. He's looking more and more like a loser, just like them. And who wants to bet on a loser? They'll just go find another degenerate asshole "tough guy" to idolize, because their underlying envy for what they desire hasn't gone away.

All the people dragged under in the wake of Trump

Makes me wonder how many more people, the still hangers-on and never-say-die people, whose lives will be destroyed by their cultish allegience to Trump. Of course it's their own fault. Ignorantly swept along by the thrill of getting away with something. Win at all costs; it doesn't matter. Most knew, probably all knew that their guy lost the election. I feel great sadness for them. The best that I can hope for (besides jail for Trump and his co-defendants) is that this will be an object lesson for many many generations that election fraud is not worth doing.

Degenerate

I find myself using the adjective "degenerate" to describe everything Trump and everything about the current GOP. As in degenerate congress person, degenerate policy, degenerate speech, degenerate times, degenerate Fox News, etc.
