We now know what sketch will be the cold open for SNL this Saturday. Calling Ben Stiller now....

Ben Stiller as Cohen,
the cast as all the members of Congress
Maybe bring in De Niro as Mueller for a funny ending,
or Baldwin as Trump watching it all on TV, reacting while Kellyanne tries to calm him with baby toys...

I beat up MSNBC a lot, but Rachel Maddow just did a 25 minute opening, commercial free.

that says a lot since the ads for the highest rated cable news show go for a lot of money.
I like that she has a Cronkite like weight and authority there that gives her freedom to do things like this.
Keep supporting her MSNBC!

No offense to Rep. Adam Schiff but Democrats need to stop counting on modern Republicans

to ever do the right thing.
Writing op-eds about how the GOP needs to step up is a waste of time.

I don't know if you noticed Rep Schiff but they have been bad faith actors for years.

Ever since the GOP refused to give Obama ANY help to save the country after Republicans wrecked the economy in '08.

Ever since Mitch Fucking McConnell literally stole a SCOTUS seat, against the rules of the US Constitution, just because he could.

Ever since they didn't say anything when trump defended Nazi's.

Ever since they just let the government shutdown for 35 days when they could've kept it open, even if Trump didn't like it.

The 2018 elections let us know the big secret in US politics: We don't need them to win.

We just need to keep registering new voters and GOTV, and getting our message out to the citizenry.
Expanding the electorate will crush and destroy the GOP.
That's the only thing we should focus on: crushing and destroying these Quislings before they destroy our country.

Note to WH Press Pool: Every follow up question to a Trump denial must be: "Are you lying to me now

like you did on Air Force One about the Stormy Daniels payments that Michael Cohen made?"

If he gets upset you just say, "You've had no problem lying right to a reporter's face before, so why should we think you have changed?"

Because if Trump's denying, then he's lying.

"I didn't need to do this," Trump said. "But I'd rather do it much faster."

Pretty sure Melania says the same thing.

Now we know there is no "good faith negotiation" with Trump and the GOP, right?

They will cheat on everything.
Cut a deal, then, lie and declare a crisis and McConnell supports it?
Fuck that and fuck them.

They need to know they just burned all their good will for the next two years of this Congress by supporting this bullshit.

No more deals with the GOP while this "emergency" exists.
None.
Nada.
Zip.
Zilch.
We pass our bills, our way, defining what we stand for, and that's it.

The media did America a big disservice today broadcasting the Complete Lie Filled Trump speech

thanks for the Goebbels level propaganda show media.
Even my local TV station in LA carried it live.
Suckers all.

RIP Representative John Dingell, 92

John Dingell, the longest-serving member of Congress in history, died Thursday at the age of 92.

Dingell recently entered hospice care after a cancer diagnosis.

Rep. Deborah Dingell (D-Mich.), Dingell's successor in Congress and his wife, confirmed his death to the Detroit News.

First elected in 1955, Dingell became revered on both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill for his legislative prowess while shaping some of the most consequential bills in the last century.

After a historic tenure that included landmark votes on civil rights, authorizing wars, and Medicare, Dingell retired in 2014 in frustration over the entrenched partisanship that came to define Congress in his final years.

A legend is gone.

I believe most of the pundits are confused about "Peace and Legislation or War and Investigation"

In my interpretation Trump isn't referring to an external war in the quote.
he's not going to wag the dog and start a war with Iran or Venezuela.

He's referring to a previous quote of his on the day after the Blue wave election last year at his presser where he said something like "if they (Democrats) want investigate me we will go to war and investigate them back" or something like that.

It's a political war of dirt and dirty tricks that he is promising.
he thinks every politician is as dirty as he is and he can false equivalence his way out of it.
Expect more Ralph Northam type ratfucking to happen.
he is desperate and cornered

About ZonkerHarris

Nixon was a fucking crook. As a teenager I marched on the UN in 1982 with a million other people demanding we get rid of the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over our heads. Since then I've worked to get Democrats elected like John Aristotle Phillips, known as the A-Bomb Kid when he ran for Congress against Stuart McKinney in CT in the 80's (we lost twice) through the Obama campaign in 2008 and 2012. I want to legalize cannabis, reform our prison for profit system, cut our military budget, get out of Afghanistan and push solar energy panels into every building in the USA.
