I'm having a hard time being nice about the virus to everyone. The wife says "karma" and we have

to wish good for all,
but then I see that megachurch filled with virus deniers packing the place.
Karma
Then I see Republicans not shutting down their county/state/etc
Karma
Then I hear the bile of lies coming out of Trump's mouth:
Calling it a hoax
lying to Hannity,
attacking honest reporters,
misleading all Americans,
because all he cares about is his re-election and not American lives
Karma
It's hard not to wish this virus on people like them.
Karma
It's really really really fucking hard not to.
Karma
But I'm not.
Karma
Because it's such a horrible disease
and if Republicans get sick they can pass it on to innocents and bystanders and keep the pandemic going.
Because a virus doesn't have political parties.
Karma baby, Karma.
I'll keep trying

Donald Trump is finally going to become a real billionaire.

Trump takes immediate step to try to curb new inspector general’s autonomy, as battle over stimulus oversight begins

In signing statement, he signals he could restrict new watchdog’s independence

President Trump on Friday took a step to immediately try to curb oversight provisions in Congress’ $2 trillion coronavirus spending package, seeking to assert presidential authority over a new inspector general’s office.

The move could presage a major battle between the White House and Capitol Hill as the Trump administration moves to implement the new law.

In a White House signing statement released Friday evening, Trump called “unreasonable” the law’s mandate that a new Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery notify Congress immediately if the White House doesn’t cooperate with an audit or investigation. The new inspector general is supposed to monitor how the Treasury Department extends loans and loan guarantees to businesses, among other things.

Trump signs $2 trillion coronavirus bill into law as companies and households brace for more economic pain

Under the legislation, the new inspector general’s office is required to tell Congress “without delay” whenever administration officials are unreasonably withholding crucial information from investigators. But the White House signing statement said the administration will not allow the inspector general to tell Congress without “presidential supervision,” calling it a violation of executive branch authority.

The Cheesecake Factory Tells Landlords Across the Country It Won't Be Able to Pay Rent on April 1

The Cheesecake Factory Tells Landlords Across the Country It Won’t Be Able to Pay Rent on April 1

The chain restaurant says closed dining rooms and “extraordinary events” are the reason for not paying rents

The Cheesecake Factory, one of the most popular sit-down restaurant chains in the country, says it will not be able to make upcoming rent payments for any of its storefronts on April 1 because of significant loss of income due to the coronavirus crisis.

The Calabasas Hills-based company informed all of its landlords in a letter dated March 18 (reproduced below) that a severe decline in restaurant traffic has decreased its cash flow and “inflicted a tremendous financial blow” to business. Cheesecake Factory’s affiliated restaurants, such as Rock Sugar and North Italia, will also not make April 1 rent payments.

Company chairman and CEO David Overton writes, “Due to these extraordinary events, I am asking for your patience, and frankly, your help.” He continues, “we appreciate our landlords’ understanding given the exigency of the current situation.” The letter says that the company hopes to resume paying rent as soon as possible.
In telling landlords that it will not able to pay rent, the Cheesecake Factory essentially confirms that it is in the same position that many independent restaurateurs currently find themselves in. In a statement to investors on March 23 — five days after the letter to landlords — the Cheesecake Factory announced that it would curtail development of unopened restaurants and tap into a $90 million credit line to increase its available cash. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, the Cheesecake Factory has closed 27 locations across the country, and pivoted other locations to a takeout and delivery-only model — which it said just days ago was enabling the company to “operate sustainably at present” — and its stock price has fallen by more than 50 percent in the past month.

There's only one reason Republicans hate vote by mail:

There’s only one reason Republicans hate vote by mail:
It allows every person of color to vote, without hours long lines, two few polling places, faulty voting machines.
Hell, it lets every registered voter in the nation vote. It’s their worst fucking nightmare.
Let’s make that happen.

Don't know about you but I'm cool with Trump holding his rallies again if he wants

Let thousands of Republicans get together under one roof for hours to listen to Trump talk about this medical hoax.
They miss chanting Lock Her Up so let's allow them to get it out of their system.
Keep it in the red states though, please.
Trump cares more about Wall Street than Main Street so let his followers do what they do best, follow like the sheep they are

About ZonkerHarris

Nixon was a fucking crook. As a teenager I marched on the UN in 1982 with a million other people demanding we get rid of the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over our heads. Since then I've worked to get Democrats elected like John Aristotle Phillips, known as the A-Bomb Kid when he ran for Congress against Stuart McKinney in CT in the 80's (we lost twice) through the Obama campaign in 2008 and 2012. I want to legalize cannabis, reform our prison for profit system, cut our military budget, get out of Afghanistan and push solar energy panels into every building in the USA.
