this is a car crash at one of the many right wing intersections of interest. this one has freakish ideology, graft/privatization, brutality/sexual humiliation, nepotism and violent craziness all wrapped up in perfect example of what is wrong with this country and republicans in particular .
freakish ideology: anything to do with Allen West
graft/privatization: one of the largest operators of for-profit prisons in the U.S. and a major donor to the Florida Republican Party.
brutality/sexual humiliation: "deliberately indifferent to staff sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior with youth. The sexual misconduct we found was among the worst that we have seen in any facility anywhere in the nation."
nepotism: West's wife, Angela Graham-West, was appointed to the FAU board by Gov. Rick Scott's office in May 2011

Poll: Colbert Busch Opens Up 9 Point Lead Over Sanford
Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch has opened up a 9-point edge over Republican Mark Sanford in the special election playing out in South Carolina's First Congressional District, according to the latest survey from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling released Monday.
Fifty percent of voters in the district said they will vote for Colbert Busch, the sister of satirist Stephen Colbert, in the May 7 special election while 41 percent said they will vote for Sanford, South Carolina's former governor who resigned in 2009 after it was revealed that he had been visiting his longtime mistress in Argentina when he disappeared from the state. Only 3 percent said they will vote for Green Party candidate Eugene Platt.
PPP's previous survey of the race last month and an internal poll from the Colbert Busch campaign released earlier this month each showed a toss-up between the two major party candidates. But it's been a tumultuous past week for Sanford, who's seen the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee announce that it will not spend any additional money on his race and his ex-wife, Jenny Sanford, file a lawsuit in which she accused him of trespassing and violating their divorce agreement. Moreover, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee last week released a brutal ad mocking Sanford for his 2009 mistress scandal.

Unlike under our last (Republican) president we are not going to up and invade/occupy/baby-sit a civil war in another country that had nothing to do with the terrible terrorist attacks here at home. Law enforcement is doing its job, and I have no doubt that out current Chief Executive will see that justice is done in these cases (Boston and ricin letters.)

BOSTON — Investigators have found video of a man who they believe may have planted the deadly bombs at the Boston Marathon, a person briefed on the matter said Wednesday, saying that they had pinpointed the image on video that was captured shortly before the blast.
The possible break in the case came as investigators pored over scores of videos and photographs that they solicited from surveillance cameras from nearby businesses, smartphone wielding marathon spectators and television crews who were there filming the Boston Marathon when the deadly blasts went off on Monday near the finish line. The revelation of the video was the first sign that the authorities might be moving closer to discovering who was behind the attacks, which killed three people and injured more than 170.

4chan, Reddit users claim to identify potential suspects in Boston Marathon
BOSTON—As investigators continue to probe Monday's deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon, self-deputized Internet detectives shifted into overdrive on Wednesday—with users of two popular online bulletin boards claiming they had identified the culprit.
On 4chan, an image-driven message board, users zeroed in on a surveillance image showing a man near the marathon's finish line wearing black pants, black shirt and white hat and carrying a black backpack similar to the one recovered near the site of one of the blasts.
In subsequent aerial images, the man is seen without the backpack.

We don't know who set off the bombs at the Boston Marathon but I am reasonably sure that it is a Muslim fundamentalist or a RW militia-type tea bagger or some clinically insane person with no clear discernible ideology.
The chances of it being some left wing ideologue or some nationalist or religious or political movement not known for such things is possible, but don't expect it.
