Detroit News Nolan Finley Disingenuous Attempt to Connect with 'Black People' is Downright Insulting

Why is Detroit News Editorial Editor Nolan Finley 'reflecting' on ANYTHING when it comes to state of Blacks or African-American people in Detroit and by extension, Southeastern Michigan?

"We can talk all day about why more African-Americans didn't do the same thing. It doesn't matter. We have to understand that we're buying trouble if we don't encourage "more black participation," Finley penned in his first 'column' on Black People.

"This isn't about handouts or set-asides or affirmative action. Nor is it about gentrification, an absolutely ridiculous concern in a city that needs so much rebuilding. I don't even believe it's about racism."

Right, not about racism. Those words full of hot air would figure to be wrote from a White Man whose vain attempts at describing the 'African-American' experience is insulting and laughable.

Especially after a well-known race baiting exchange from 2013 Detroit Mayoral Race debate broadcast on WADL- Channel 30, where Finley threw the first race baiting punch.

After the debate, Finley a WADL Panelist, took his feelings about then Candidate for Mayor of Detroit Tom Barrow onto Fox 2 'Let it Rip" program to call Barrow, who is African-American, a Buffoon.

Explaining US Media New Infatuation with Assata Shakur as Decades of Tension are eased with Cuba

"Since President Barack Obama's announcement on December 17, easing decades of tense relations with Cuba, American media resources have jumped on the bandwagon labeling whom or what is defined as a terrorist.

In this case, Assata Shakur known as the only African-American Woman on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) 10 Most Wanted Terrorist List under the name of Joanne Chesimard as a quasi 'Domestic Terrorist' -- is the latest media sensation.

Shakur is wanted on the charge of a May 1973 shooting death of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Forester and injuries to another Trooper James Harper. According to the narrative, Shakur and two co-horts Zayd Malik Shakur (born James F. Costan) and Sundiata Acoli (born Clark Squire) confronted and shot at the officers after a traffic stop over a broken tail light.

The trial which took place four years after the incident --- and after Shakur was either acquitted, had charges dismissed or received a hung jury conclusion over the years to seven other alleged charges -- resulted in a guilty verdict for Assata Shakur for First Degree Murder and a host of other convictions on March 25, 1977.

Despite the convictions, questions of fact remain today in Shakur's case."

Explaining “I Can’t Breathe” to White People

"I Can’t Breathe” is about more than police brutality. It is about the basic unfairness many African Americans experience every day in America through no fault of their own. Let that sink in for just a moment.

Through no fault of their own, African American shoppers (even Barack Obama) are suspected of being shop lifters and are stalked by store owners or store security. Though no fault of their own, African America drivers are often targeted by police and pulled over and harassed without probable cause. Through no fault of their own, African Americans who want to rent an apartment in a nice neighborhood with good schools are told that there are no apartments available.

Or, that the apartments have just been rented. Through no fault of their own, the average African American child who acts out in school is given a more punitive punishment than the average white child who acts out in school. Through no fault of their own, African Americans who are completely qualified for a particular job are told untruthfully by employers that they are not qualified. If you had to live in this reality, wouldn’t you feel like, “I Can’t Breathe.”

CNN Tonight #ASKACOP Episode Evokes a Harsh Twitter Response

Before airing the latest 'CNN Tonight' installment the network requested users of the social media site Twitter pose questions for a panel of law enforcement officers for its self-entitled 'Cops Under Fire" segment.

Anger over the grand jury non-indictments of former New York City, NY resident Eric Garner, 18 year-old Mike Brown of Ferguson, MO and the shooting death of 12 year-old Tamir Rice boiled over as user's questions were mixed with strong sarcasm, outrage and disappointment in response to the recent incidents of police violence.

The hashtag #AskACop climbed to the top of the list of U.S. Twitter trends Tuesday night. CNN's Town Hall Style Panel included five officers who previously used deadly force on the job.

Today, Sadness Darkens My Heart

By Writer Larry Benjamin of Random Thoughts Blog

"Today the truth came into my consciousness. A long- time friend has shown signs of having given up and succumbed to the forces about her.

She was for years a supporting force in the fight for Democratic values. These values may have been something she learned from her father a life-long Democratic supporter. She knew she was in a minority among the many in her realm of activity but she held firm in her convictions.

And now we find her speaking in support of right wing thoughts and attitudes, not shouting from the roof tops, but expressing thoughts in agreement with the right wing.

This comes about from her watching reports on the Ferguson murder and resulting demonstrations."

Don't Shoot Song [Mike Brown/Trayvon Martin Tribute] - I Can't Breathe Eric Garner

The ironic nature of connection between Garner, Brown and Martin murders are indeed something that has obviously has got lost on the larger discussion. Eric Garner killed by Choke Hold for selling loose cigarettes in front of a store. Mike Brown (according to killer cop Darren Wilson) shot to death for being a "suspect" in a "strong-arm robbery" over cigarattos at a store. Trayvon Martin shot to death coming from a store after buying Skittles and Ice Tea.

The connections between these horrible murders has been lost in the conversation.....

(VIDEO) A Moment of Honesty For Ex-Basketball Player Charles Barkley from the African-American Comm.

Charles Barkley is a liar and obviously is seeking his 15 minutes of some sort of fame.

First Charles says he don't do social media. Okay, then what is this: Charles Barkley, as anything on Facebook is social media. Next, Charles Barkley fixes his mouth to say "Sometimes it right to racially profile". Really Charles?

Okay let's start with you.

A serial gambler, a drunk, before TNT a ex-basketball player in debt, previously charged with assault and battery and with a clear fellatio obsession -- shall we go on? Charles profile would lead to he needed 15 minutes of fame, adding money to the pot for paying off debts owes for his gambling habit. There's a profile for ya.

The whole point of selling out the African-American community to the Race baiting masters in a sit down interview. WOW! Quite sad indeed."
