I just don't get it.

How can you get so many people to gather in one forum to discuss the "virtues" of giving the Plutocracy more money in hopes of themselves becoming rich?

99% of them never will be rich. If they were all rich then inflation would drive the value of their money right back down into the toilet. 99% of these people will be flushed down the toilet by the same people they worship, even with their small Government.

They want to be paid less. They want to lose their jobs to overseas sweatshops. They want to choke on pollution and burn up alive with fracking-polluted water that catches on fire. They want their pink slime in their burgers and their food handled by idiots who don't wash their hands. Their womenfolk want to be deprived of the right to, well, be anything but baby machines. They want their right to vote to be taken away. They want the banks to screw them over.

It's like mass hypnosis or something. I can't think of it any other way than that pig in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the one who said he's designed and programmed to be eaten. What the frak was that pig's name, anyway? Freeper?

What will the poor nations of the world do when our dollar collapses and we can no longer buy their goods? What will they do when our foreign-held debt turns us into another Greece? What will the free traders say when it's currency exchange rates, not tariffs, that put a dead stop to offshoring?

Nothing, I suppose. Most free traders argue up and down that the dollar doesn't devalue in the face of huge trade deficits. Which shows they know absolutely nothing about economics.

How Apple Sidesteps Billions in Global Taxes

RENO, Nev. — Apple, the world’s most profitable technology company, doesn’t design iPhones here. It doesn’t run AppleCare customer service from this city. And it doesn’t manufacture MacBooks or iPads anywhere nearby.

Yet, with a handful of employees in a small office here in Reno, Apple has done something central to its corporate strategy: it has avoided millions of dollars in taxes in California and 20 other states.

Apple’s headquarters are in Cupertino, Calif. By putting an office in Reno, just 200 miles away, to collect and invest the company’s profits, Apple sidesteps state income taxes on some of those gains.

California’s corporate tax rate is 8.84 percent. Nevada’s? Zero.

Setting up an office in Reno is just one of many legal methods Apple uses to reduce its worldwide tax bill by billions of dollars each year. As it has in Nevada, Apple has created subsidiaries in low-tax places like Ireland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the British Virgin Islands — some little more than a letterbox or an anonymous office — that help cut the taxes it pays around the world.

Almost every major corporation tries to minimize its taxes, of course. For Apple, the savings are especially alluring because the company’s profits are so high. Wall Street analysts predict Apple could earn up to $45.6 billion in its current fiscal year — which would be a record for any American business.

Apple serves as a window on how technology giants have taken advantage of tax codes written for an industrial age and ill suited to today’s digital economy. Some profits at companies like Apple, Google, Amazon, Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft derive not from physical goods but from royalties on intellectual property, like the patents on software that makes devices work. Other times, the products themselves are digital, like downloaded songs. It is much easier for businesses with royalties and digital products to move profits to low-tax countries than it is, say, for grocery stores or automakers. A downloaded application, unlike a car, can be sold from anywhere.

There are a few 1%ers who are fighting for us: William Buffett, to some degree, and George Soros.

However, the ones that are destroying America and turning it into a Social Darwinist hell, are the plutocrats, the ones who want to turn america into a nation ruled by wealth and not wisdom.

Every person in America needs to be made familiar with the term Plutocracy. It is, along with Social Darwinism, the most precise definition for the greatest threat facing the working class today.

In the spirit of the "eat this, not that" articles I often see on Yahoo!, I offer an alternative to the proposed new Department of Labor rules forbidding child labor on farms.

Instead of passing these laws, how about addressing the root of the problem: the hazards that plague farmwork.

How about this instead: STRONGER farming workplace safety regulations?

I mean, aside from one dealer is legal and the other one isn't?

Apparently this business gives FREE massive double, triple and quadruple bypass burgers to people over 350lbs, along with "flatliner" fries, Jolt and a pack of unfiltered cigarettes.

How is this different from dealing drugs? You're handing out a product that, in the context of the situation, is almost guaranteed to kill.

Disclaimer: I absolutely love hamburgers. I am a big fan of having an extra patty on my Double King Burger at Fatburger. But damn, Heart Attack Grill is just too much. Apparently for two of its customers and (from what I hear) a 600 lb Heart Attack Grill spokeswoman who died, it was too much for them, too.

American workers are overpaid.
Actually, they're lazy.

No, wait, they're not properly educated.
We need more free trade agreements to create good jobs... somewhere over the rainbow.

The college class of 2012 is in for a rude welcome to the world of work.

A weak labor market already has left half of young college graduates either jobless or underemployed in positions that don't fully use their skills and knowledge.

Young adults with bachelor's degrees are increasingly scraping by in lower-wage jobs — waiter or waitress, bartender, retail clerk or receptionist, for example — and that's confounding their hopes a degree would pay off despite higher tuition and mounting student loans.

This woman's boss is headed for a Wall Street banker job.

A New York Long Island woman said she was fired after she donated a kidney to help save the life of her boss.

Debbie Stevens, a 47-year-old divorced mother of two, filed a formal complaint with the New York State Human Rights Commission last Friday, claiming her boss used her for her organ then fired her "after the woman got what she wanted." Stevens' boss, 61-year-old Jackie Brucia, is one of the West Islip controllers for Atlantic Automotive Group, a billion-dollar dealership operator. Brucia hired Stevens in January 2009 as an assistant.

"She just started treating me horribly, viciously, inhumanly after the surgery," Stevens told ABCNews.com. "It was almost like she hired me just to get my kidney." Although Stevens turned out to be less than a perfect kidney match for Brucia, Stevens donated her organ to an out-of-state stranger so that Brucia could move up on the organ donor list.

If this were to happen, law enforcement would be utterly overwhelmed. They'd be forced to drop the stupid law against filming the police, and go after real crimes. You know, like murder, rape, arson...
