Trump is withdrawing troop which most feel is not sensible. Remember Trump said he would use the military to build the wall if he did not receive the funding he asked for. I wonder if he will try to say by removing the troops the money saved will pay for materials and the military has man power to build his wall. I doubt it would be legal but it would not stop him from trying. What do you think?
The Affordable Care Act
A few months ago, I was sitting in a waiting room with a group of people. The subject of the Affordable Care Act came up. The general consensus of about half the people there was that they should not be required to buy insurance. This group was quite vocal on this subject. Much to my poor wife's embarrassment, I said quite loudly "I could not agree with you more. There does need to be a change in how medical services are provided. The insured people are now being charged larger fees to cover what is lost on the uninsured. The law must change until hospitals and doctors are not required to treat people who cannot pay. If someone is in an accident or is diagnosed with something like cancer and cannot pay, only a minimum amount of medical care should be administered until they pass away" The whole room went completely quiet. The comments and discussion ended. I am not a cruel person nor do I really expect that people would be denied medical care. At the same time, people must face reality and I have noticed a lot of the good Trumpers do not want to face reality. My guess is that the only way they will face reality is when and if their decisions cause them to suffer. Maybe I am right and maybe I am wrong but that will be up to my fellow Democrats to judge.
