Cops Fired After Blaming Missing Half-Ton Of Pot On Stoner Mice

A judge tried to weed out the truth.
By David Moye

What a ratty thing to do ― blaming mice for 1,000 pounds of missing marijuana.

That’s the dubious excuse eight police officers in Pilar, Argentina, gave after a half-ton of pot disappeared from a police warehouse.

About 13,000 pounds of bud were supposed to be in storage, but a recent police inspection revealed 1,000 pounds were missing, according to The Guardian.

Javer Specia, the city’s former police commissioner, was ordered to explain the shortfall to a judge. He and three subordinates told the skeptical jurist the missing marijuana must have been eaten by mice.

Experts, however, sent that theory up in smoke, saying rodents wouldn’t confuse marijuana with food. In the off-chance they did, the mice likely would have died from the dope, and investigators would have found the cannabis-laden corpses, according to USA Today.

“Buenos Aires University experts have explained that mice wouldn’t mistake the drug for food, and that if a large group of mice had eaten it, a lot of corpses would have been found in the warehouse,” a spokesperson for the judge said.

All eight officers were dismissed from their jobs, and will testify in front of the judge on May 4. The judge will then decide if the drugs are missing due to “expedience or negligence,” according to the BBC.

Local news station WBRZ reports that Baton Rouge-based Hope Academy is firing both a teacher and a teacher’s aide who were heard ridiculing the autistic boy’s intelligence while being secretly recorded by a tape recorder planted by the boy’s mother.

“Camden, why don’t you have anything written down?” one adult in the recording can be heard saying to the boy. “That’s why you can’t sit with everyone. Tell your momma that.”

“Let’s see what they do with him in f*cking public school,” adds another adult. “He was going to go to Live Oak Middle. Uh ah, he wouldn’t make it for a minute.”

One of the people in the recording can also be heard sarcastically imitating noises that the boy makes.

<snip>

Hope Academy says that it has fired one of the adults in the recording effective immediately, while the other adult in the recording will be formally terminated within the next two weeks.

BANKKKRUPT: Stormfront, the Internets Oldest White Supremacist Site, Says Its Going Broke

BANKKKRUPT
Stormfront, the Internet’s Oldest White Supremacist Site, Says It’s Going Broke
The hate forum is making less than $2,000 a month, and insiders claim its main founder just retired. It’s the latest blow to white supremacists online.

<snip>

“Our contributions have once again totaled less than $2,000, which is not enough to cover our basic server and radio bills, and this month we no longer have enough personal money to make up the difference,” Black wrote last week in a post first spotted by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

<snip>

“My plan is to shut down the main server on the 6th, backing everything up offsite first. I hope to also move the entire 50gb database to our much smaller, secondary server,” he wrote. “This will be difficult because of the size of this site, and that server is not nearly adequate to run everything. But I hope it will be enough to allow access to Sustaining Members, but probably not to other users or guests.”

<snip>

“All of the years that Don posted how much was needed to run this site and all the months that SF didn’t receive enough donations. That difference was made up from Chloe Black's income. She is now recently retired and deserves to spend her time with her grandbabies. This situation combined with litigation from when SF was shut down last August, Don has more bills and less revenue to run the site.”

Chloe Black, who could not be reached for comment on Monday, has a long history of involvement in the white supremacist movement. Chloe was previously married to former KKK leader David Duke, whom she met at a White Youth Alliance college gathering in the 1970s, and later divorced him to marry Black, another former KKK leader and neo-Nazi who was convicted in 1981 of attempting an armed overthrow of the predominantly black island nation of Dominica.

“But Don Black — who lives and operates Stormfront out of a house owned entirely by Chloe and valued at about half a million dollars — is apparently unemployed, although he claims to do some Internet consulting work,” the SPLC wrote in 2008, when it was revealed that Chloe had been doing public relations work, including for a school that focused on black and Latino children.

<snip>

Black isn’t just paying Stormfront’s expenses. A search of web domains registered under his email address reveals he’s squatting on a number of web addresses, at unknown cost to him. Among those addresses is MartinLutherKing.org, MLKing.org, a few URLs with variations on “white nationalism,” and whitesingles.com. The Martin Luther King-related addresses used to host racist content, but now appear defunct after a Daily Beast report earlier this year. Whitesingles.com redirects to Stormfront’s dating page.

Black is also squatting on DerekBlack.com, the name of his son who famously disavowed his family’s racist views after President Donald Trump’s election, and now speaks against white supremacy. From 2010 until 2013, Derek and his father ran “The Derek Black Show,” a radio program Black paid $600 per week to broadcast on AM radio.

The radio program, alone, cost Black thousands of dollars each month, on top of the costs of running Stormfront. Five years later, according to Black’s plea for donations, the white supremacist site doesn’t even generate enough to fund the old radio show.

Laura Ingraham due back at Fox News following backlash

Laura Ingraham due back at Fox News following backlash

8:12 PM EDT U.S.

CBS/AP

NEW YORK -- Fox News Channel host Laura Ingraham is expected back at work on Monday following a backlash by advertisers upset over her tweet mocking a Parkland, Florida, school shooting survivor. Her one-week vacation served as a cooling-off period. The number of companies saying they would not advertise on her show, at 19, according to a count by Media Matters for America, slowed to a trickle while she was away.

<snip>

Ingraham has apologized for a tweet in which she said 17-year-old high school student David Hogg whined about being rejected by some colleges. Hogg has said it's "time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children." Their spat became a symbol of a debate over how minors active in national gun safety talks should be treated by political opponents. Another student, Emma Gonzalez, was falsely depicted in a doctored photo tearing up the Constitution.
<snip>

Ingraham also was criticized in February for saying Cleveland Cavaliers basketball star LeBron James should "shut up and dribble" instead of talking politics. She has said that was a reference to her 2003 book, "Shut Up & Sing," in which she criticized performers who venture into politics. James, a three-time NBA champion, has vowed to keep talking.

<snip>

Vacations under fire can be an ominous sign. Another Fox prime-time host, Bill O'Reilly, went on vacation when advertisers abandoned him following reports about sexual misconduct complaints against him; he never returned. An advertiser boycott helped cost O'Reilly his job at near-lightning speed. Former Fox personality Glenn Beck fell victim to an advertiser abandonment that was much more gradual.

He's not dividing the party, we are. We need to concentrate on 2018, just like both Hillary and...

Bernie are. Neither of them are running for anything but both are out almost every day promoting Democratic candidates challenging GOP held offices. We need to stop running litmus tests based on Bernie and/or Hillary and start doing what they're doing - clearing the Teapublicans out of every state and federal office in the land we possibly can in 2018 and roll into 2020 with the same goal.

Poll: Trump approval drops to record low
By Rebecca Savransky - 04/05/18 08:29 AM EDT

President Trump's approval rating hit a record low in March, a new poll finds.

Morning Consult's 50-state approval tracker finds 41 percent of registered voters approved of Trump's job performance during March.

A majority, 54 percent, disapproved of the president's job performance.

The data from March surpasses the president's previous lows in the Morning Consult poll. In October and November, 42 percent of respondents approved of Trump's job performance and 53 percent disapproved.

It is a small dip from his February numbers, when 43 percent of respondents approved of the job he was doing in the White House and 52 percent disapproved.

Trump's approval ratings also dropped month-to-month in a number of states that supported him in the 2016 race, including a 9 percent drop in Iowa and a 6-point dip in Idaho and Tennessee.

The March poll compiles data from surveys conducted from March 1 to 31 among 97,693 registered voters in every state and Washington, D.C.

According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Trump has a current approval rating of 41.8 percent.

A majority, 53.3 percent, disapprove of the job Trump is doing in office, according to the average.

Neil deGrasse Tyson Has A Haunting Question About Bears
Hmmm...

Neil deGrasse Tyson is known for using his Twitter account to tackle everything from urgent scientific issues to pop culture. But on Sunday, he took to social media to wonder about bears ― and, in particular, one potential feature of a bear-led world.

The astrophysicist, author, host of “Star Talk” and “Cosmos,” and director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York, wrote:

If Bears were in charge, after they hunted us to near-extinction, I wonder if they’d invent a candy called Gummy Humans.

Tyson’s tweet drew more than 1,000 replies, including these:

Heres Don Jr. Talking About How It Sucks To Be At The Playboy Mansion With A Pregnant Wife

Here’s Don Jr. Talking About How It Sucks To Be At The Playboy Mansion With A Pregnant Wife
Has the president’s son ever contemplated killing his dad for the money? He once talked about that on the radio!

By Ashley Feinberg

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-jr-playboy-mansion_us_5ac516d3e4b09ef3b243005a

In January 2007, Adam Carolla broadcast his radio show, “The Adam Carolla Show,” live from the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. Among the various guests that day was none other than our country’s most aggressively online son, Donald Trump Jr., who took the opportunity to talk about his dick, his father’s dick, how the two compare, and just how much of a hardship it is to be surrounded by Playboy Playmates when you have a pregnant wife in tow.

The since-forgotten segment, which appears to have been taken offline but was preserved by the Internet Archive, lasts a little over 13 minutes and covers a number of topics.

Some highlights:
On his predicament

Trump Jr.: Can you believe the hell I’m going through? I’m at the Playboy Mansion with a pregnant wife! It doesn’t get worse than that, does it? Now, I love my wife, but that is rough. And I’m going to pay for these statements later on tonight. I’m gonna pay.

On Melania’s age

Host: Donald, your pregnant wife is chatting up Melania, your stepmother. What is the age gap between those two?

Trump Jr.: Much closer than most would ever guesstimate. Probably about five years, six years.

Host: Which one’s older?

Trump Jr.: My wife.

[crowd boos]

Trump Jr.: No, I’m just kidding.

On coal miners

Host: Question one: Did you always plan to follow in your father’s footsteps, meaning become a billionaire and bone hot chicks?

Trump Jr.: I think the answer to that is an obvious yes. [Sarcastically] No, I wanted to go to work in a coal mine.

On Miss USA

Host: Number two: Did you ever have sex with Miss USA?

Trump Jr.: Which one?

[Hosts shout]

Trump Jr.: I’m just kidding, baby!

On Melania’s hotness:

Host: Are you attracted to your stepmother?

Trump Jr.: I think she’s a very lovely lady.

On his inheritance:

Host: And the last one is: Have you ever thought about killing your dad for his money?

Trump Jr.: Well, you know…

Host: That’s a yes.

On whether he or his dad has the larger penis:

Host: I got one question, Donald Jr.: When you and your pops are in the shower, who’s got the bigger package? You know what I’m saying.

Trump Jr.: You know, and I will get fired for this, but I’m never going to say that I don’t. I will get fired for that. By the way, they’re both pretty substantial I think.

Trump Jr. has most recently been in the news for “liking” a tweet that smeared Parkland massacre survivor David Hogg, and for the fact that his wife, Vanessa Trump, recently filed for divorce.
