If you stole my data I would hope somebody

would block you from using it.

Where is a Bernie

Who are the others involved?

Are they fired?

December 18, 2015

I am an accountant not an IT person so I ask

if one wanted to find out if Hillary data somehow got in to Bernie data files, and those files could be purged, wouldn't you block access to those files so they couldn't be purged? Especially if you had an investigation going on?

How long would the investigation take?

December 18, 2015

Maybe in 2020 Hillary will keep her campaign

data on a private server.

Just saying

December 18, 2015

Here is how to get a message to Hillary's campaign. If you want to tell her you thing she should

ask the DNC to release Bernie's data.

She does not control the DNC in spite of what everyone here thinks.

Please be polite.

I have already sent in a request that she would help out here.

The news conference I just saw was all about

how unfair the DNC is.

Nothing about what happened with the data breach.

Occam’s razor

Occam’s razor, also spelled Ockham’s razor, also called law of economy or law of parsimony,

William of Ockham [Credit: Moscarlop]
principle stated by the Scholastic philosopher William of Ockham (1285–1347/49) that pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate, “plurality should not be posited without necessity.” The principle gives precedence to simplicity: of two competing theories, the simpler explanation of an entity is to be preferred. The principle is also expressed as “Entities are not to be multiplied beyond necessity.”

Bernie's operative took advantage of a glitch in the software. End of story

I think I can understand why some people wouldn't like Hillary as opposed to Bernie.

The following is my opinion only. I don't speak for anyone else ever.

When I was a small kid we were poor. I didn't know we were poor at the time but later I learned how little my dad brought home. I learned why my mom worked. I learned why we were sent to caddie at a golf course the summer after fourth grade. I've been working ever since. I am going to retire in May on my 70th birthday.

My dad didn't earn enough to support us and could not afford to give us an allowance. We were allowed to keep the money we earned but when we turned 18 we had to start paying rent to live in the house we grew up in. This was in the 50's and sixties. I was born in 1946.

My mom was a soft touch and my dad was not. If my mom took us to buy new shoes we could persuade her to buy shoes we liked. If we went with my dad he picked out the most affordable shoes that he thought would wear longest. There were many other things like that.

I said all that because I was on a conference call with Hillary today and one contrast between Hillary and Bernie became clear and reminded me of my parents when we were growing up.

Hillary is like my dad was and Bernie is like my mom was.

One of the questions during the conference call was from a mother with twin 5 year olds. She is worried about being able to send her kids to college because of the high cost of education.

This is how Hillary answered. She started out listing ways people now use to afford college like going to a junior college for the first two years.

Then Hillary told the woman, "Don't edit yourself. Set high standards for your kids."

Hillary said not to let the high cost of education today keep you from planning to send your kids to college if that is what they want to do.

Hillary said to the woman that she hoped by the time she is in the fourth year of her administration the cost of education would be affordable to everyone. Then she said "but your kids might have to work a little."

Hillary could have said "we are going to have free tuition for everyone."

Hillary isn't going to promise things she doesn't think will get done. If you noticed during the debates she makes no apologies for her positions.

She calls herself a progressive that likes to get things done.

I understand a whole bunch of people do not like the Hillary I described.

I like that Hillary is practical and pragmatic. Maybe it is because of the era I grew up in.

Instead of free tuition she says affordable tuition but you have to work for it and that Trumps kid should not get free education.

Instead of single payer she says she will build on Obama care.

Instead of $15 an hour she says that it isn't practical in all areas but that $12 is better in some areas.

No Bernie supporter is going to like that, I understand.

But Hillary isn't going to promise things that won't get done.

Again this is all my opinion I don't speak for Hillary or anyone else.

questions and answers

The one take away I got is that Hillary isn't promising things she can't deliver on.

on a question about college from a mother with 5yr old twins she said "don't edit yourself, set high standards for kids" meaning don't let the high cost of education today stop you from planning to send your kids to college if that is their interest to do.
and by the time Hillary is in her 4th year college will be affordable but kids may have to work etc.

Well that was from notes I took

I am not good at note taking.

From Me, we get dumped on by Bernie folks because he promises better stuff than Hillary. Well I doubt he can deliver on them. Again Hillary doesn't promise things that can't get done

the only way to win was doing well with independents and we were kicking ass with independents

The Romney campaign thought Obama’s base had lost its affection for its candidate. They believed Obama would win only if he won over independent voters. So Romney focused on independents and the economy, which was their key issue. The Republican ground game was focused on winning those voters. “We thought the only way to win was doing well with independents and we were kicking ass with independents,

Fed Rate Goes Up. Mortgage Rates Go Down

Dec 16 2015, 6:40PM

Mortgage rates moved just slightly lower today, despite the long-awaited Fed rate hike. Once again, that's LOWER mortgage rates and a HIGHER Fed rate. Here's how that works:

The rate that moved higher today is the Federal Reserve's Target Rate. This is the rate banks charge other banks to borrow money overnight. It's called the Fed's Target Rate, because the Fed doesn't actually directly enforce the rate. It merely "targets" the rate (or the range of rates, in this case) that it believes is in line with its policy goals. The Fed can then employ several tools to influence the overnight rate and bring it in line with the target range.

If you're not already well-versed in the reasons that banks borrow from other banks overnight, don't worry about that. All you need to know is that the Fed's target rate is vastly important to the global financial system, and it has far-reaching effects on all manner of interest rates.

In other words, a Fed rate hike is a big deal, but bigger to some than others. Mortgage rates are less directly connected to the Fed's Target Rate, as could be easily seen in today's modest move lower. The Fed hiked its rate by a quarter of a point--an amount that would be unimaginably severe in the mortgage world. Such a move has only happened a few times in history on a single day.
