Tonight I am really proud of President Obama.

How many times have we asked that Dems grow a spine.
I will watch the speech with a broad smile knowing 5,000,000 people in this country and their children will breathe a large sigh of relief.

The major networks may not carry President Obama's

speech tonight but tomorrow the opposition will be all over the networks like flies on dog shit.

Here is a challenge to those who feel there was

nothing to vote for in the last election.
Be proactive during the next two years. Get together with like minded people and draw up a political platform you could vote for. Then spend two years fund raising and offer the money to candidates that support your platform. Use social media to get the word out. Become sort of like the Occupy movement but with a platform.

So what is it going to take to get those who didn't vote in 2014 to vote in 2016?

The right knows how to play Americans like a fiddle.

They got people to vote for W in 2000.
That put Roberts on the court and we got citizens united. In 2010 they convinced us to stay home and they took the House and took over a bunch of states to gerrymander them and restrict voting. In 2014 they again convinced us to stay home and they get the Senate and more states.
Next they will make it impossible for us to win the Presidency.

I need to find a way to not get depressed as our new lords rip the heart out of this country. I am so fucking angry with people who don't bother to vote. Please don't give me that nothing to vote for bull shit.

Dems can't do anything if they don't have the power. Now they have even less power.
Voting is the only way we change things.
Stay home in 2016 too because you are not going to get what you want from the Repubs.

Could it be us that makes Citizens United effective?

I think all that dark money is spent on TV ads. I know that when I see a repuke ad it never convinces me to vote for the repuke. I don't think it has much effect on an independent who is left leaning either.
The thing the ads do is get out the repuke vote.
So to counter the effect of the ads or the dark money we have to see the ad and decide to vote against it or cancell out a repuke vote generated by the ad.
We out number them. We could overcome the dark money by voting against it.
Forget about needing something to vote for, but vote against something. It would have a better outcome then not voting.

Keeping them out of office was something

worth voting for.
A lot of what you wanted isn't on the table or the type of candidate you want isn't running.
You could vote against them. The Dems are powerless now. You won't get what you want again.

Look who is complaining young folks women

and minorities. Look who voted old white men
