PHILADELPHIA - Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is advising intelligence officials that if they end up giving GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump classified briefings during the campaign, they should just fake it and make sure not to divulge anything important.

“How would the CIA and the other intelligence agencies brief this guy? How could they do that? I would suggest to the intelligence agencies, if you’re forced to brief this guy, don’t tell him anything, just fake it, because this man is dangerous,” Reid said in an interview with The Huffington Post Wednesday afternoon. “Fake it, pretend you’re doing a briefing, but you can’t give the guy any information.”

Intelligence officials are becoming increasingly convinced that the hack of the Democratic National Committee and subsequent release of DNC emails was the work of the Russian government, with the goal of undermining Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and boosting her rival, Trump. Trump on Wednesday called on Russia to release any additional emails they have from Clinton ― actively inviting a foreign power to intervene in a U.S. election.

Reid wouldn’t call the comments “treason,” leaving the characterizations to others. But, referencing his nearly half a century in politics, he proclaimed: “I’ve never seen anything like Donald Trump.” The scale of the cybercrime and the possibility of it being done at the behest of a presidential candidate, he added, could wind up being worse than Watergate...................

Everyone who heard Bill Clinton's impassioned speech praising the character of his wife last night learned something from his anecdotal tales. Towards the end of the speech of over forty minutes, he ties everything together between the RNC Hillary-hatefest last week to the accomplishments he listed last night.

PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: Now, how does this square? How did this square with the things that you heard at the Republican convention? What's the difference in what I told you and what they said? How do you square it? You can't. One is real, the other is made up.

You just have to decide. You just have to decide which is which, my fellow Americans.

The real one had done more positive change-making before she was 30 than many public officials do in a lifetime in office.

PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Clinton is now officially the Democratic presidential nominee, making history as the first woman ever to secure the backing of a major American political party.

Clinton was formally nominated on the second evening of the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday, more than nine years after launching her first presidential bid. It was largely an evening of unity after an opening night marked by resistance from die-hard supporters of Democratic runner-up, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

As a symbolic gesture, Sanders' name also was placed in nomination. Her former foe smiled and applauded from a box seat as supporters praised his "revolution" and his fight for progressive policy proposals during the nomination procedure.
