Donald Trump is so far out of touch reality that Fox News Sunday busted the Republican nominee for lying about African-American poverty statistics.

Video:

Transcript via Fox News Sunday:

WALLACE: All right. Let’s move on to another one. Donald Trump has also been reaching out to African-Americans this week, asking, what do you have to lose after decades of Democratic neglect? Here he is.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TRUMP: Poverty, rejection, horrible education, no housing, no homes, no ownership, crime at levels that nobody’s seen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

WALLACE: But, Kellyanne, that totally misrepresents what blacks face in this country. Trump says black youth unemployment is 58 percent. It’s actually 19 percent. Twenty-six percent of blacks live in poverty. That’s not good. But the vast majority do not.

How can Trump address the problem when he doesn’t seem to understand what it really is?.....................

White House Asks 'Deception Committee' to Study Russian Hacks

by William M. Arkin, Robert Windrem and Ken Dilanian

The White House has ordered a special intelligence task force to examine the implications of Russia's recent hacks of U.S. political organizations, U.S. intelligence officials tell NBC News.

The classified national study is being conducted by the Foreign Denial and Deception Committee, a Cold War-era organization that is part of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the officials said.

The committee traditionally has advised the DNI on foreign attempts to thwart U.S. intelligence through trickery. But in the cyber era, the committee has increasingly looked at how nation states use computer attacks to conduct espionage and spread propaganda.
.......................

The consensus among U.S. intelligence analysts is that Russia is seeking to undermine confidence in the U.S. system, using the hacks into the Democratic National Committee, state election systems and other targets that have yet to be made public, as part of a larger campaign. Whether Russia can directly manipulate voting machines or "hack" into election systems, they say, is not clear and is mainly outside the jurisdiction of U.S. intelligence. ................................

Former students claim presidential candidate defrauded them
Real-estate seminars and instructors were sub-par, they argue

Donald J. Trump and his now-defunct real-estate university lost another legal attempt to block former students from suing as a group in a California case accusing the Republican presidential candidate of fraud.

Trump University is accused of cheating students by persuading them to pay tens of thousands of dollars for real-estate seminars that turned out to be "infomercials" for buying more classes. The former students also claim workshops were led by instructors who hadn’t been "hand-picked" by Trump as promised.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in San Diego on Monday rejected Trump’s argument that one of the lead plaintiffs in the case, Sonny Low, wasn’t actually concerned with whether Trump University was an accredited institution. One of the key claims in the class-action suit is that the students had relied on their belief that the school was accredited when they paid to attend.

...................................... Curiel has scheduled a trial in the case for Nov. 28.

Curiel said the billionaire’s lawyers were relying on a “selective interpretation” of Low’s deposition, in which the former student said that accreditation “was not even a consideration for me," according to the ruling. “I went there because it was Trump University, that he created."............................

Religious Leader Plans Protest Of Trump’s Talk to Detroit African Americans

By Sarah Jones on Tue, Aug 30th, 2016 at 2:27 pm

A Reverend is planning to protest Donald Trump’s “Look I’m not a racist” PR tour on its first stop in Detroit, Michigan.

Rev. W.J. Rideout III, Pastor of All God’s People Church in Detroit, will lead a protest against Republican nominee Donald Trump according to the Detroit Free Press.

T................

“Donald Trump is an opportunist, and this guy will reach out to get a vote from the worst fish in the sea. He doesn’t care if he gets a vote from a rock. He just wants to get into the White House,” Rideout continued. “He’s outsourcing jobs overseas. Yet you’re talking about making American great again.”

Pastor W.J. Rideout III is a leader in Detroit’s Good Jobs Now coalition, which fights for economic justice for all Detroiters, and as such has a history of advocating for labor rights — including leading hundreds of protesters advocating for a minimum wage hike in 2016...........

Agriculture Department Closes Offices in 5 States After Threats

.....................

USDA spokesman Matthew Herrick says in a statement on Tuesday that the department had received "several anonymous messages'' that raised concerns about the safety of USDA personnel and facilities. He said six offices are closed until further notice.

Herrick said the department is working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and federal and local law enforcement to determine whether the threats are credible.

............................................

In his memo to employees, Vilsack said employees could telework or take authorized leave.
...............................
The temporary closures may affect some tourists. In Colorado, the Forest Service's Canyon Lakes Ranger District tweeted that their information center is closed.

Republican nominee Donald Trump has placed immigration at the core of his presidential campaign. He has claimed that undocumented immigrants are "taking our jobs" and "taking our money," pledged to deport them en masse, and vowed to build a wall on the Mexican border. At one point he demanded a ban on Muslims entering the country. Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Saturday, Trump said he would crack down on visitors to the United States who overstay their visas and declared that when any American citizen "loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated." And he is scheduled to give a major address on immigration in Arizona on Wednesday night.

But the mogul's New York modeling agency, Trump Model Management, has profited from using foreign models who came to the United States on tourist visas that did not permit them to work here, according to three former Trump models, all noncitizens, who shared their stories with Mother Jones. Financial and immigration records included in a recent lawsuit filed by a fourth former Trump model show that she, too, worked for Trump's agency in the United States without a proper visa.

Foreigners who visit the United States as tourists are generally not permitted to engage in any sort of employment unless they obtain a special visa, a process that typically entails an employer applying for approval on behalf of a prospective employee. Employers risk fines and possible criminal charges for using undocumented labor.

Founded in 1999, Trump Model Management "has risen to the top of the fashion market," boasts the Trump Organization's website, and has a name "that symbolizes success." According to a financial disclosure filed by his campaign in May, Donald Trump earned nearly $2 million from the company, in which he holds an 85 percent stake. Meanwhile, some former Trump models say they barely made any money working for the agency because of the high fees for rent and other expenses that were charged by the company.

Canadian-born Rachel Blais spent nearly three years working for Trump Model Management. After first signing with the agency in March 2004, she said, she performed a series of modeling gigs for Trump's company in the United States without a work visa. At Mother Jones' request, Blais provided a detailed financial statement from Trump Model Management and a letter from an immigration lawyer who, in the fall of 2004, eventually secured a visa that would permit her to work legally in the United States. These records show a six-month gap between when she began working in the United States and when she was granted a work visa. During that time, Blais appeared on Trump's hit reality TV show, The Apprentice, modeling outfits designed by his business protégés. As Blais walked the runway, Donald Trump looked on from the front row.............................
