Trump tells NH1 News he didn't seek to pay to play with Clinton Foundation donation

Of course he shouts it from the rooftop day after day and the media spits it out as truth---that ALL OTHERS who donate to the Clinton Foundation are in the Pay-for-Play mold.
It is beyond hypocritical.

MANCHESTER – Donald Trump says he didn’t donate more than $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation to seek access and a favor from then-U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
READ: Protesters say 'Dump Trump' at GOP candidate's rally in Manchester

.................

Trump spoke with NH1 News on Thursday, minutes before he held a rally at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. During the event, Trump once again took aim at the Clinton Foundation, saying that major donors got special access with Clinton during her years as America’s top diplomate.

Earlier, asked by NH1 News if he was seeking to pay for play when he made a major donation to the foundation, Trump answered “not at all but I will say this. Anything that you do when you donate to that foundation, they do whatever you want them to do and I think it’s disgraceful.”

“And some of my friends said, ‘how about making a donation’ and I said ‘why not’. As a businessman I must tell you, you make a contribution, I didn’t do it for that reason. There’s nothing I had in mind. But I will say they liked me a lot. They liked me a lot. And if I hadn’t made that contribution, they probably wouldn’t have liked me at all,” Trump added.........................

Shocking Numbers Reveal GOP’s Big Secret: Trump Is Bankrupting The Republican Party http://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/27/shocking-numbers-reveal-gops-big-secret-trump-bankrupting-republican-party.html

Shocking Numbers Reveal GOP’s Big Secret: Trump Is Bankrupting The Republican Party

By Jason Easley on Sat, Aug 27th, 2016 at 3:09 pm
........................
An analysis of RNC fundraising data has revealed that beyond losing, Donald Trump’s drain of a campaign is literally bankrupting the Republican Party.

According to Open Secrets, RNC contributions are at their lowest point since before 2004:

Virtually every category of receipts shows a decline this year. Contributions from individuals where the amount given is less than $200 (the “unitemized” category) is less than half what it was in July of 2004, 2008 and 2012. There is a similar decline in direct contributions of larger amounts where specific information about the donor is included in the report. These itemized contributions total much less than July 2004 and 2008 and are even smaller than July 2012 when joint fundraising became much more important.

These joint fundraising efforts where the presidential campaign works together with the national party and state parties around the country are increasingly important, and the RNC total from those efforts also lags in July compared with 2012 and 2008. The Trump campaign has talked about huge joint fundraising successes, but neither the campaign nor the RNC has received all that much from this process so far comparatively.

..............................

Donald Trump is bleeding the Republican Party dry. It is no surprise that a man who has built his career on bankruptcy and debt is mooching off of the Republican Party. What is shocking is how quickly Trump has pushed the RNC towards insolvency.......................

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Hillary Clinton "owes the state of North Carolina a very big apology," Donald Trump thundered, condemning the loss of manufacturing jobs due to free-trade deals supported by the Democratic presidential nominee.

The attack line drew no more than polite applause at his event last week in Charlotte.

......................

Voters are flowing into the state at a firehose rate — young, educated and many who take high-paying jobs when they arrive. They're coming from everywhere and quickly diluting North

"Clinton is winning," said North Carolina Republican pollster Michael Luethy. "Particularly because folks who have moved to the state in the last five years are very different voters. ............

...............An NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll found Clinton up 9 points in North Carolina in early August. But it also showed that she's substantially outpacing Trump in the state's economic boom regions. She had more than 50 percent support in the Charlotte area and led Trump by more than 2-to-1 in the Triangle region of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.........................

Flake advises GOP candidates: 'Distance yourself from Trump'

By Jessie Hellmann

?itok=dfDcUS8-

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) is telling fellow Republicans in the Western U.S. to distance themselves from Donald Trump if they want a future in politics.

Asked how fellow Republicans could win election to statewide office in the West, Flake on Friday told The New York Times: "Distance yourself from Donald Trump."

"That's difficult. But I think you've got to do it if we're concerned not just about this election but elections to come," he added.

Otherwise, Flake said, "this will last decades."

Flake, a frequent critic of the Republican presidential nominee, has refused to endorse Trump, saying he would hurt the party. ....................

**EDIT TO ADD:

There’s a surprisingly similar theme in Donald Trump’s initial reaction to tragedies

http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-tragedy-tweets-2016-8

There's a strikingly similar way Donald Trump has reacted to recent tragedies.

A review of the Republican presidential nominee's tweets found that in the aftermath of such events, Trump tends to reflect attention back on himself.

The observation was first made by NBC News reporter Katy Tur.

Following reports of the shooting of Dwyane Wade's cousin, Nykea Aldridge, in Chicago on Friday, Donald Trump posted on Twitter Saturday morning citing the news as a reason that African-Americans will vote for him.

Trump's tweet on Saturday recalled another Trump tweet posted following a shooting at the LGBT club Pulse in Orlando, Florida, in June. Following the attack, the New York businessman initially offered prayers for the victims and their families.

Soon after, however,
in keeping with a running trend, Trump praised himself for being "right" about terror threats.

"Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism," he tweeted. "I don't want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!"

Here are some of Trump's tweets following recent tragedies in Paris, San Bernardino, Brussels, and Orlando:

Clinton Win Could Pressure GOP to Heal, Not Repeal, Obamacare

I wonder if this has any possibility of happening? I know Hillary has a plan to fix some things in the ACA.

I have always been an advocate for Medicare for all or the public option but I can not see that happening until those 60 votes are in view in the senate. Then there is the House to deal with.

.........................

...................These Republicans suggest that a Hillary Clinton presidency could shift the debate over the Affordable Care Act just enough to work on improvements with someone who isn’t the law’s namesake.

And it’s not just politics: Last week’s decision by one of the nation’s largest insurers, Aetna Inc., to withdraw almost entirely from the program’s insurance exchanges is the latest warning sign that Washington may have to act to prevent the law from unraveling. Many of the areas most affected by a potential loss of coverage are represented by Republicans.

Representative Scott DesJarlais, a Tennessee Republican and a doctor who has strongly backed Donald Trump, said his party would "certainly" consider a Clinton plan to revise a law he says is in a death spiral.

"She would be able to to look at what has failed," he said in an interview. "Obviously, we wouldn’t be closed-minded. The bottom line is, how do we take care of people and make it affordable for them?"

Pete Sessions, a Texas Republican who runs the influential House Rules Committee, said he remains opposed to the health-care law, but he also conceded that it’s unlikely, for both political and financial reasons, that the law could be repealed outright.

Obama’s departure, he said in an interview, will be "an opportunity to see there are other ideas, not just that there’s a continual battleground."............
