AFT Washington, AFL-CIO Endorses Bernie Sanders

As everyone is aware, the stakes are high in the 2020 presidential election. In light of that fact, and with our state’s primary occurring March 10th, the executive board of AFT Washington has voted to endorse Bernie Sanders. This decision was made after substantive discussion and member input at the national AFT level and input from AFT Washington leaders and activists. The Board considered a dual endorsement of Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in the interest of solidarity and lifting up both candidates who robustly represent our values and mission and who have our members’ support. Ultimately, we decided on a sole endorsement in the interest of consolidating support for Sanders.

A recent poll shows that 22% of Washington voters are undecided while 21% support Sanders. The outcome of Super Tuesday on March 3rd will likely impact the choice voters make. In light of the damage done by the current administration to public education, human and civil rights, labor rights, the environment and much more, we urge you to vote for the eventual Democratic nominee in the general election, whether or not they were your first choice. Four more years of this administration, without the accountability of a second election, will be devastating to this country; it is imperative that we vote in the general election to stop that. We urge you to get your ballots in by Tuesday, March 10th.

The Yemeni American News is endorsing Senator Bernie Sanders for president.

Difficult times require bold leadership. Half-solutions make problems worse. And the real change in Washington is not possible without a popular movement that includes everyone.

That’s why the Yemeni American News is endorsing Senator Bernie Sanders for president.

Sanders is not a traditional politician; he is a fierce and honest leader channeling the pain and dissatisfaction of millions of Americans who have been forgotten and dismissed for far too long.

He is the best choice to be on top of the Democratic ticket to unseat President Donald Trump in November – for America and especially for Arab and Muslim communities.

Sanders’ movement is based on social justice, with no room for bigotry or pandering.

What Being Jewish Taught Bernie Sanders About White Nationalism - Supermajority - Refinery29

Women are the majority of voters in the country. So why haven’t the presidential candidates spent more time talking about the issues that affect us — like equal pay, the rollback of women’s reproductive rights, and sexual assault and violence?

Refinery29 teamed up with Supermajority, a new home for women’s activism, to ask them to do just that. Ahead of Super Tuesday, during which more than a third of all delegates will be allocated, Supermajority co-founder Cecile Richards sat down with each of the top six candidates and asked them questions about their records and plans for improving women’s lives — plus some fun questions to get to know them a bit better. Learn more about the candidate here: https://berniesanders.com/

To beat Donald Trump we need a campaign of energy and excitement. I do not believe Joe Biden has that campaign.
