Montpelier, VT — The State Committee of the Vermont Democratic Party has officially endorsed the following candidates for statewide office in Vermont:

United States Senator: Bernie Sanders
United States Representative: Peter Welch
Governor: Christine Hallquist
Lieutenant Governor: David Zuckerman
Treasurer: Beth Pearce
Secretary of State: Jim Condos
Auditor: Doug Hoffer
Attorney General: TJ Donovan


In a statement, Senator Sanders expressed his gratitude:

“I want to thank the Vermont Democratic Party for their endorsement and for the work that they have done to build a more inclusive party. I have been fortunate to travel across the state with many of the other candidates endorsed today and have been impressed by their commitment to building a Vermont that supports all working families and for providing bold solutions for the problems that they face.
