Jury finds Michelle Barrientes Vela guilty on 2 counts of tampering with records
Former Precinct 2 constable could face a maximum punishment of up to 10 years in prison
SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County jury on Thursday found former Precinct 2 Constable Michelle Barrientes Vela guilty on two felony counts of tampering with records.
The jury deliberated for four hours before reaching its decision in the nearly two-week long public corruption trial.
Barrientes Vela is eligible for probation. She could face a maximum punishment of up to 10 years in prison. Barrientes Vela requested for Judge Velia Meza to decide her sentence. The court will reconvene on Sept. 12 to begin the sentencing phase. Until then, Barrientes Vela will be allowed to remain free.
Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales thanked the jury for their service and for staying “focused on this complex case.”
Vela is accused of numerous abuses. In this case, she kicked out a family from a county park so that her family could have the pavilion....
She also did some weird shakedown at an auto accident even though she did not have jurisdiction because she was the constable, not law enforcement.. She wanted to do a cavity search on someone. I believe it happened in Leon Valley or San Antonio and the only authority she would have would have been a first responder until the correct unit arrived on scene to make sure everyone was safe or whatever....
The driver, identified as Madison Huizar, was taken into custody Feb. 13 by Bexar County Precinct 2 deputies following her involvement in a two-vehicle crash in the intersection of Bandera Road and Timco West, inside Leon Valley city limits.

DALLAS – The lead up to the felony trial of Michelle Barrientes Vela took a bizarre turn Friday after she was accused of accosting a Texas House of Representatives candidate and a prominent community advocate who were in Dallas to attend the Texas Democratic Convention.
Good riddance. She's another Trump. She won't be bothering candidates and volunteers in November. She's a Democratic who has a vendetta against the Democratic Sheriff and DA. She demands complete loyalty and wanted BLM to back her. She was banned from political events due to what she did up in Dallas. Now she will be banned as part of her punishment. She was convicted of felonies, but will probably get probation. She's a psychopath who cares only about herself.

The two watch television together on the couch, and when Henney takes him to the farmers market, WallyGator gives hugs to shoppers - as long as they are OK with being that close to a 70-pound reptile with a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.
Henney filled out an application on the U.S. Service Animals website, and once it was approved, he received a certificate along with a harness and leash for his alligator. WallyGator is required to be certified every year, he said.
People were surprised when they learned that Henney's alligator had joined the ranks of the emotional support peacock and donkey, he said. He has been known to dress him in a tuxedo and sunglasses, and sometimes even a hat.
Fortunately, there are no plans for the alligator to fly a plan

Texas county's entire election staff steps down, citing death threats and stalking
The elections administrator in Gillespie County, which includes Fredericksburg, is stepping down Tuesday over death threats, stalking and understaffing that followed the 2020 election, according to the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.
“I’m understaffed and underpaid and I’ve been asking for help for a while, and at some point, you just have to take care of yourself,” Anissa Herrera told the Standard-Radio Post.
But Herrera is not the only person to step down from the county’s elections department. Gillespie County Judge Mark Stroeher told the Standard-Radio Post that the entire staff resigned for similar reasons, leaving the county in a dire situation for the upcoming November election.
He said that the county has “some people who are pretty fanatical and radical about things” and drove out Herrera and the staff. Stroeher said that the job became more difficult than it probably should be “because of some individuals who are continuing to question how they are doing things,” according to the Standard-Radio Post.
