The equipment problem was with new tablets used to check in voters' registration,

not the voting equipment itself.
In some cases, voters were offered provisional ballots, to speed up the long lines waiting to vote.

Yep. Tablets were being used for the first time to check in voters,

rather the old poll books that have been used since time immemorial.
Some broke down immediately, enough to cause long lines.
Some persons were given the option of using provisional ballots.

Husted was in Hamilton County today and saw the problems with

the tablets being used for the first time in an election, so he likely witnessed the problems first hand.

Hamilton County polls to stay open until 9p.m.

Common Pleas Judge Robert Ruehlman granted an injunction sought by Responsible Ohio to let the polls in Hamilton County remain open until 9 p.m. due to problems with equipment at a number of polls this morning.
