He's just the flavor of the week.

Others will get press over this or that, or because the media emphasizes some act or words, and then the new one will be up the new darling for a while.
There's still a long way to go.

So glad you and/or he recogized that he needed

medical attention and got him to the ER.
Yes, it's too soon to know how or if there will be a long-term effect.
It takes a little while for swelling to go down or clot to dissolve

This happened to my hubby, too, about 18 years ago.
It was a small stroke in his brainstem.
He was not paralyzed, but his speech and gait were affected at the time.
These improved, but there were long-term, undefinable effects.

May all be well for your husband and for you.

The Merced Museum, or the public library in Merced should be able to tell you the years

the photographer was in business.
There may even be online lists of early California photographers, or lists by county.

Genealogists frequently wish to date family photos by locating the photographer.

The good news is

that you came through a very bad situation.
I'm glad it was not worse for you, traumatic as it was.
You will likely be stiff and sore for days.
Please get and take advantage of any and all means to get yourself back to where you were before this happened.
Best wishes.

Good for you, Guyton.

You've got a sharp eye and memory!

Good to see you back, Crewleader.

Missed you and your "stories".
Hope you're feeling better.

I recall reading of an apartment or home of a French

woman being opened after about 70 years. IIRC, it was in Paris, the woman had left and/or died. The home was abandoned, and just opened within the past year.
The first photo was, I believe, shown in connection with that story.
Perhaps Google can tell us more.

WEatherman says the frigid air has come from Siberia -

could this be Putin's revenge?

I believe he did abandon his wife.

Perhaps that's why he's reminding himself- and the world- that he will - at some point - return to ashes.

(Edit - I'm looking for the sarcasm symbol & can't find it. Pardon.)
