I like Strickland and will vote for him in the primary and in the general.

PG Sittenfeld, A Cincinnati city councilman, is Strickland's primary opponent. He came in first in votes city-wide, but, unfortunately, as far as I am concerned, immediately broke an election promise by voting to build Cincinnati's downtown streetcar, which he had opposed before the election.

The Strickland-Portman race will be a difficult one for the former Governor. If the Dems have a strong Presidential candidate, that will benefit Strickland by bringing out Dem voters.

Unless you live in a state bordering KY, and many of your newscasters live on

the KY side.

Now that Scalia has been buried, I wouldn't mind if the President made a recess

appointment. Before the funeral, such an appointment would have been rather crass.

I definitely believe there should be recess appointments made by Feb. 22 - today- for some of the other judges and other offices that have gone unfilled for too long.

Apparently, JFK's daughter Caroline is not Republican.
