I congratulate my Kentucky neighbors and their Gov. Beshear

on the fine job they have done implementing the ACA.
May other states learn from you.

According to Wikipedia, he was president of the USCCB

from 2001-2001. Apparently, that presidency is a 3-year term.
I cannot comment on his term, except to note that it was the first 3 yrs of GWB's terms, with all that included.
Archbishop Gregory notes that there is a new era in RC Church re humility and caring for the poorest among us.

Some need to adapt more than others.
We all know the RC Church is a huge target and easy to hit.

Will other Christian churches follow the lead and also look within at their mansions and holdings?

Archbishop Gregory can be and has been the force for much good

in the RC Church.

I believe his public announcement of this "mistake" is an act of humility in admitting that he was wrong.
It is a type of public confession.
He could have quietly gone about arranging a sale or other disposal or use of the property, but instead he set himself up for public
shaming.

I congratulate Archbishop Gregory for his forthrightness and wish him well in his future work.

Whenever I see rude, antagonist comments I remind myself

how lucky I am not to have such a person as my next-door neighbor or co-worker or family member.
I can put that person out of my life with a click and go on my merry way.

Be grateful for small blessings.

He'll be in Cincinnati tonight (Tuesday) for the book-signing.

I went to one of his about 10 years ago in Durham, NC, and have been to his Sunday School class at the Baptist Church he attended in Plains, GA more like 15 years ago.

As you might expect, President Carter is always gracious. After the Sunday school class, he and Roslynn posed with the attendees outside, for photos, which I proudly display.

Not sure if I'll be going tonight - I'm not so good with parking and walking and crowds as I was then. But I might go!
