Rachel Maddow spoke on this subject tonight.

She said the Republicans have not won the state in which they convened, since 1992, which they nominated Poppy Bush in Houston.
That being so, it would be a good idea for them to convene in Cleveland, if that would insure that Ohio will go Democratic in 2016.

When Cincinnati was still in the running for the Republican convention a month or so ago, Dems and Repubs were both united in trying to get the convention, believing it would be a boost for the local economy, both short-run and long-term.

That act of kindness made their day -

We all, in every state, have to be aware of what in happening in the various

states.
Restrictive voting laws, among other abominations, happen at the state level.
I recommend scrolling to the bottom of the home page and click on the latest postings from the various states, as well as some international news.
Do it daily, if not more frequently.

If overt laughter is good for body and soul,

after reading this I'm now set for a long happy life.

Summer solstice is bittersweet for me because

the daylight will begin getting shorter for the next six months, and I so love the long days and especially evenings of late daylight.

So I'll still enjoy each day in the present, and only gradually begin the shorter outdoor life, until at last, it can't be denied in Nov. & Dec.

For me, the winter solstice is a time of joy and expectation, when the days begin to lengthen and gradually get to the next June 21.

The night staff at many facilities is often smaller and less experienced.

The thinking is that most of the residents will be in bed and asleep and not much care is needed.

There's no point in trying to overanalyze her statement, especially vs. their statement.

It's all a matter of perception.

He had taken an oath to tell the truth- if they were present to see that.

Let's see them charge him with perjury - they don't/won't have the courage to do that.

Those men made absolute fools of themselves and the people who sent them to Congress.

151 yrs as a state is cause for celebration also.

Next time I/we pass that way we'll try to allot the necessary time to visit Blennerhassett Island. -
