It's nobody else's business and there is no right or wrong in belief if it is sincerely formed and held.
IIRC, Suze Orman recommends funding the HSA fully at the beginning of the year, if possible.
If not possible, then make it a priority for saving for it.
Apparently, it can be used as a sort of emergency fund.
Suze Orman recommends Health Savings Accounts very highly, for
some of the reasons already mentioned on this thread.
I respect her advice & opinions.
Perhaps you can tell your physicians of your problems with high prescription costs.
They might be able to prescribe alternatives at lower cost.
Kentucky did it right.
I'm not a Kentuckian, but observed the success KY had from the beginning.
As I understand it, the secret was simplicity.
They gave info on the plans first, then asked qualifying questions.
The sites that qualified first - state and federal- were the ones that had the most trouble.
Glad President Obama will recognize the KY governor for leading his state in this effort.
