Marco Rubio will be the biggest loser in this story.

His national asperations will take huge hit, as the majority of Americans, and a significant number of everyday Republicans, including many elected officials agree with the President' action.

Perhaps your local St.Vincent dePaul society can help you with the bed.

I have recommended them to other DUers with specific needs, and I know of at least one where help was provided.
They do not proselytize; the DUer whom they helped was not a church member and that was no problem.

I'm glad you let DU know of your situation, and hope that you get the good news you've waited for so long.

I've seen him as host of a daytime show.

Perhaps an audience participation/quiz?
I didn't pay much attention and moved on.
I didn't mind his late night show much, but always moved on when he had that skeleton character start.

Specifics? Are you saying all those responsible for torturing

should be referred to the Dept. of Justice, who will then build a case based on what is in the Congressional report?
Or should those responsible be referred to the United Nations who will then do their own investigation into the matter?
Or do you have something else in mind?

That is magnificent. I especially appreciate your reflections on the painting.

I was lucky enough to visit Giverny ca 25 years ago; in the summer obviously.

I imagine few other than neighbors have seen the area in the winter.
I'm not a fan of winter, but must admit winter scenes make beautiful art.
My former neighbor, an artist, gifted my husband and me with a painting of our then home during the horrific winter of 1977-78.
I prize that painting, for its beauty and its meaning to me.
The neighbor/artist has a show currently at the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Thanks for your contribution to DU, CTyankee.
