No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalI respect Steny Hoyer. He is a gentleman & he takes the high road.
He's been disappointed often frequently, but at least he can sleep well at night.
He does the right thing.
Mahalo back at you, Cha, for all you do here on DU! nt
I wish it was just here.
It's far worse on open (public) sites.
Vulgar language is not my style, but I can pass over it, though I seldom respond or recommend to such posts.
Meanness and hurtful words are far worse.
Life is too short for such conduct.
Apparently people other than current Congress persons will be in attendance,
likely on the floor of Congress.
Ohio's governor John Kasich will attend; he has floor privilege because he has served in the House in the past.
What other non-current Congress people do we know will be there?
Unfortunately, these extra people will give the impression of a packed house.
A DUer suggested earlier that it would be better if the current Dems would take their seats and then walk out when Netanyahu begins to speak.
That would send a message.

It is believed the group responsible for these artifacts were gone from the area about 600 years ago.
It sounds as though Abbott needs a handler. nt
And bravo to the businesses that provided the bread and soup, etc.

warned me that Sunday would be a no-go out day.
So I went to Mass Sat. afternoon, and happily slept in this morning.
People- and grown-up children- will make their own decisions about how best to lead their lives.
I was blessed to have a spouse faithful and kind, though not everyone does.
I no longer have grief re my children's choices, knowing that though spouse and I are imperfect, we did the best we could for our kids.
Peace to all who make their life choices with the best intentions and knowledge available to them.
