Just saw Senator Grahamstand...

saying on the TV box that we have to fight them over there or we will fight them over here. I rocketed out of my chair and checked my calender to make sure it wasn't 2002.

Different year, same FUBAR message.

Recall On Cantor's Smarmylade

The local Rethug Teahaddists have issued a recall on Cantor's Smarmylade. The Smarmylade was found to insufficiently contaminated with the "right" ingredients.

CNN-Cowardly News Network

In the aftermath of the deadly Las Vegas shooting rampage, which left two police officers, a shopper, and the shooters dead, one can expect all the usual talking points that follow an all too regular and familiar massacre – mental health, access to guns, the killer’s motives, and so forth. But here’s another one: the intellectual cowardice of cable news giant CNN, when it comes to reporting right wing terrorism.

But don’t expect CNN to include the prefix “right-wing” to the use of the word extremism or terrorism, for their, and the mainstream media’s, fear of the right-wing hysteria machine is ever present and always palpable. In fact, CNN refused to identify the Tea Party flag. Dan Simon of CNN went so far as to avoid the far right’s wrath that he said the killers “left behind some type of flag with some kind of insignia.” The cable network’s 24/7 ticker feed reads, “Killers had extremist views.”

CNN is Faux News lite.

Bush Pays Cash For Hostages

The Bush administration arranged an indirect payment to Abu Sayyaf of $300,000, as reported a little later by ABC’s John McWethy, the veteran Pentagon correspondent, and even by Fox’s Brent Baier, whose phrasing had it that “the U.S. government facilitated a ransom payment to al Qaeda-linked terrorists.”

Alas...a story not likely to be heard on the Sunday talking head shows.

Faux News Priority Today

At the gym today there was CNN and Faux news side by side on the TVs.

CNN-speeches from Normandy commemorating the beginning of the liberation of Europe.

Faux News--Bergdahlzi full time without interruption.

Of course, because in the Rethug universe these events have equal historical weight.

I kept waiting for a Benghazi interruption.

Rethug 2014 Political Strategy in Two Words

We have a bright new dividing line in President Obama’s second term: there was everything that happened up until this weekend’s prisoner swap for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, and then there was everything afterwards. There was the IRS, the VA, Obamacare, and Benghazi, and now there is Bergdahlzi. Republicans can hardly contain themselves. We’ve got a hot one here!

Benghazi and Bergdahlzi.

What a pack of rethug chickenhawk contemptible losers.

Rethug Disgraceful Response to Release of American Soldier

Given the outrage at the return of Sargent Bergdahl by rethugs future enlistment contracts for soldiers should be amended as followed:

*If you are captured you are on your own.

*If you are captured it's your fault. Don't expect help if a rethug is the Commander-In-Chief.

*If by some miracle you do return to the United States expect to be scorned and excoriated by chickenhawk rethugs.

*The new Rethug recruiting slogan: UNCLE DOESN'T WANT YOU BACK.
