Looking at the Uvalde response
I was taught, as an infantry guy, to attack a defended position required you outnumber the defender by a ratio of at least 4:1, better would be 8:1.
It was never 375:1.
I'm pretty fanatical about returning shopping carts to their
corrals. Yesterday I was about 40 feet from the nearest corral when the wheels locked up. Must have detected I was crossing some magnetic barrier.
If you were watching, you would have laughed your ass off. I manhandled, wrestled, pulled, push the cart toward the corral. I'm sure, somewhere, people reviewing any security/parking lot conversation had their Mountain Dew spewing from their nose from laughing.

Years later he was on his deathbed and he summoned his daughter. He whispered in her ear and she said "you want what." He said, "you heard me."
She was quite alarmed and discussed what her father said with her brother. She says, "dad wants me to download a voter registration form for him to sign. I don't get it, but I will comply." She downloads the form and presents it to him. He takes it and, it takes a long time, but he fills it out. She reviews it and screams, "what the hell, you registered as a Republican, have you lost your mind?"
Her dad smiles at his daughter and says, "better one of them dies than one of us."
