back at you, vanje

to honestly question and even to offer pertinent or even critical consideration of another is one thing. but to disparage, curse, disrespect, or harshly criticize another without having even heard their explanation for their actions is an unjust form of judgement.

yes, let's keep on keep'in on!

those folks are

not my choices either.

why do you think the president would select them? i questioned the appointments as well as you may have, and since i cannot ask him directly - nor receive a direct response, i did the same research, perhaps, you have also conducted, and am still questioning. there is nothing i can really do about by myself. so i move on and focus on what i can do.

right now, i am focused on stopping the xl pipeline and monsanto because safe, clean water & safe soil & a healthy food supply without heinous genetic altering are critical to our health and quality of life.

i make phone calls & write letters on many issue to my legislators and to the president expressing my thoughts , feelings, beliefs, & the realities challenging many folks hard hit by the recession such as myself & family. but, i'll be damned if i am going to ruin my life by being a squalling chicken and sulking & pissing and moaning and shitting all over my life because everything isn't perfect or done right now (dammit!) like i want. this just isn't how life is anywhere.

and just as president obama is certainly not a king nor royalty, nor a magic man, many, many have a hand in the decisions made to govern our country. so, i do not have him on a pedestal. but i do respect him and i appreciate that he is willing to listen and hear us, the people.

there have been brilliant, informative posts

on the bog pages -
and what is wrong with being positive?
there is evil everywhere - but why focus on it? if i were to do so, i'd never get out of bed for f'k sake... i probably wouldn't even want to live another day.

i've paid my dues with enough shit in my life and i find being positive and respectful works for me as a person and in my relationships. so what if we want to be positive.
sheesh. you think we are not aware of the reality of negativity? exactly why i CHOOSE being positive - it helps me to stay focused on finding a better way, a good way for me and those in my community.

bog is about respect

of president barack hussein obama and the office he holds as leader of our country.

i proudly post there, neither blindly nor pretending to be anything more than what i am.

f-o-r-w-a-r-d

7 minutes and 17 seconds of affirmation: President Barack Hussein Obama - the right person at the right time. he has a very tough spine and is very focused in what he believes - and the best part, he believes in doing what he does for all of america with integrity...not ego - neither his nor anyone else's.

i wish i could meet the man, shake his hand, and tell him i have his back. that is all.

Tuesday, August 20th - Assad's attack with chemical weapons

during the night on his people was clearly a despicable, heinous act aimed at innocent people, but at the UN, our country and our president. Reports from first responders followed on Wednesday, August 21.

ABC news reported President Obama's statement last year - August 20, 2012

“We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized,” the president said a year ago last week. “That would change my calculus. That would change my equation.”

and taunted

is it any "coincidence" that the chemicals were disbursed exactly a year to the date of our president's statement about drawing a line?

is it any "coincidence" that putin refers to the u.s. and our president as "a monkey with a hand grenade" (quoting a past statement attributed to chavez regarding former pres. bush).

makes me wonder why the taunts directed at our president? to draw in the u.s. to another money sucking war in an attempt to weaken our country financially and disperse our resources even more thinly?

and this is only part of the info available to us in the media.

we don't know the HALF of it. i really hope the president takes his time and takes the high road - the better part of valor.

thank you, du posters

who provided me with some reality during the last 3 months of the campaign. i lurked and read and lurked and read - especially when the poll madness hit. i decided to sign in with the intention of becoming a paying member. still in trial period. seeing that it's not as pleasant a place as i thought. each day, enemies of democracy & social/political justice are creeping in a bit more than not, lately. i do not mind discussion. but asinine attacks, intimidation and ignorant, mean-spirited comments are not well tolerated by humble grassroots folks such as myself.
