A friend of mine in Pittsburgh posted this today

it should be required reading for everyone

And so it begins; people are so predictable. The local radio call-in shows are already being deluged by people who are complaining about how difficult and confusing it is to vote in the Pennsylvania primary today:

1. Review a sample ballot before you go to vote. You can find them online, in newspapers, etc.

2. The electronic-screen voting machines are rather basic. Push the button beside the person/issue you want to vote for - do the same for each screen - then push the “VOTE” button. If you have a problem, poll workers will gladly help you.

3. There is NO subterfuge at work here. The ballot is not purposefully confusing to favor any one candidate.

4. One woman on the radio was indignant because she was purposefully “locked out” of her polling place. The election official at that polling pace heard the call and called into the show to point out that the woman went to the wrong door - a back door that was locked. She apparently did not find it strange that she was probably by herself, in an alley, with no crowd of campaign workers around - as there always are. DO NOT be this person.

5. Be patient and be kind when you vote.

6. In Pennsylvania, we do not need ID to vote, but it would probably be a good idea to have it along with you.

7. If your candidate does not prevail today, accept defeat gracefully. Don’t get on Facebook later tonight with that “We wuz ROBBED!” argument. It’s usually just ridiculous and unfounded - regardless of what Chucky’s website says.

South Carolina Sheriff Says NAACP Is A ‘Racist Group’ Like The KKK

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/sheriff-chuck-wright-naacp-kkk_us_5719cf17e4b0d4d3f722ec47?

just no words

A South Carolina sheriff is dismissing criticism over his comments comparing the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to the Ku Klux Klan as “political bashing.”

Sheriff Chuck Wright of Spartanburg County, South Carolina announced at a Greenville-Spartanburg Republican Women’s meeting earlier this month that “the most racist people in America right now sometimes are minorities,” according to WYFF, the local NBC station.
