Glenn Beck says he cant sleep at night thinking about the children
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/07/glenn-beck-immigration-border-radio-show-108911.htmlConservative radio host Glenn Beck directly addressed the parents of children in Latin America on his show on Tuesday, begging them in a monologue with Spanish captions not to send their children to the United States.
I come to you as a dad keep your family together, Beck said on his program on Blaze TV. Please would you consider doing the hard thing as well would you resist the temptation to flee or break up your family, please dont hand your child off to a smuggler in the middle of the night .....During the monologue, Beck choked up describing what has happened to some children who have attempted the journey to the United States, only to die along the journey. He said those that do make it are living in deplorable conditions.
I cant sleep at night thinking about your on daughter and so I and about 150 volunteers and multiple semi-trucks are going down to our border and we will see your child and we will care for them, Beck said.Beck has raised more than $2 million in food, toys and supplies that he plans to bring to children being held on the southern border this Saturday, along with members of Congress. But while hes raising money for the undocumented children, Beck cautioned listeners he is not an advocate for illegal immigration. At the end of his monologue Beck said that hell comfort the children by telling them theyll be going home deported from the border.
This day in history..July 15, 2014...
Now i found this to be very interesting.
On July 15, 1964, Sen. Barry M. Goldwater of Arizona was nominated for president by the Republican national convention in San Francisco.
Goldwater is the politician most often credited for sparking the resurgence of the American conservative political movement in the 1960s. He also had a substantial impact on the libertarian movement.
Very powerful painting
Painting: Watch Meeting - Waiting for the Hour, December 31, 1862
Oil painting by William Tolman Carlton depicts slaves waiting for the Emancipation Proclamation to take effect. The original hangs in the White House, in the room where President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
The painting, done in 1863 by William Tolman Carlton, shows a group of African American men, women and children and one white woman, waiting for the clock to strike midnight -- the hour that the Emancipation Proclamation would take effect. The focus of the painting is a white-haired African American man holding a watch.
The storied painting contains symbolic elements such as a watch, capturing the essence of waiting and time; an anchor and a cross, both symbols of hope; an American flag, to signify the new nation; and the title of the Emancipation Proclamation and date painted across a long chain that underscores the length of the painting, to symbolize freedom and broken chains of bondage.

GUNS FOUND AT TEEN SLAYING-SUSPECT'S HOME IN TENN.
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/15-year-old-charged-fatal-shooting-us-armoryMore kids with guns
LOBELVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Police found a store of firearms Thursday at the home of a 15-year-old boy charged with shooting a longtime member of the National Guard at a Tennessee armory as investigators explored possible motives, an official said.
"Several" weapons were uncovered in the search, said Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesman Josh DeVine, and ballistic experts examined whether any were involved in Wednesday's shooting in the rural community of Lobelville, about 50 miles southwest of Nashville.
DeVine said agents were looking into "all leads" to piece together the "circumstances ... and the motivation for the crime." But the analyses of the weapons found at the teen's house suggested the suspect did not use a gun seized at the armory.
The suspect didn't work at the armory, which is usually locked, but somehow gained access to the building and fired several shots, authorities said. One struck Sgt. 1st Class Michael W. Braden, 45, who had been with the guard for more than 20 years and served two tours in Kuwait, law enforcement and Guard officials said. He died later at a hospital.

On Thursday, Speaker John Boehner released a draft resolution authorizing the House of Representatives to sue President Obama over the delay of Obamacare's employer mandate. Is there any precedent for this suit? How would it proceed?
