Cleanup on aisle Luntz

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski hammered pollster Frank Luntz for praising the State of the Union address by repeating President Donald Trump’s falsehoods.

The Republican political consultant was widely mocked on Twitter for his obsequious praise for the president’s speech, and he appeared Wednesday on “Morning Joe” to talk about it.

Tonight, I owe Donald Trump an apology. Tonight, I was moved and inspired. Tonight, I have hope and faith in America again.

It may go away tomorrow…
But tonight, America is great again. #SOTU

That’s when Brzezinski dropped the hammer.

“I think because he’s literally screwed everybody in that room over a few times too many,” she said. “He’s been vulgar and racist and accused one of the senators in that room of giving sexual favors for money. He’s insulted the wife of a Republican senator in that room in the worst way possible.”

Didn't watch the SOTU. Did he pivot? DID HE PIVOT? I just KNOW he pivoted.

Although no matter what happened, I'm guessing one or more trained seals will be on cable news tomorrow saying "he was never more presidential."

Trump "talking to friends about the possibility of asking Sessions to consider prosecuting Mueller"

Sources say that Trump has adopted a two-track strategy to deal with the Mueller investigation.

One is an un-Trumpian passivity and trust. He keeps telling some in his circle that Mueller — any day now — will tell him he is off the hook for any charge of collusion with the Russians or obstruction of justice.

***

"I think he's been convinced that firing Mueller would not only create a firestorm, it would play right into Mueller's hands," said another friend, "because it would give Mueller the moral high ground."

Instead, as is now becoming plain, the Trump strategy is to discredit the investigation and the FBI without officially removing the leadership. Trump is even talking to friends about the possibility of asking Attorney General Jeff Sessions to consider prosecuting Mueller and his team.

I moved from California 6 years ago...overall, how does the state feel about Nunes?

When I lived there, I had no awareness of the guy. He certainly wasn't in the headlines, as he is today.

I'm just curious as to the overall mood toward the guy in California right now, outside of the average Trump fan. Does he actually have "supporters," or is he writing his own final chapter to his political career"

Most annoying front man / woman in a rock band?

The premise: Maybe you hate the band, maybe you like a song or two, one thing you cannot do is listen to an entire album by the band in one sitting because the front man / woman is best taken in small doses, or not at all.

Your pick?

BREAKING: Place Christopher Cross taken away to by sailing not actually where he heard it could be

OKAY, I admit it.

It's Saturday night and I wanted to write a clever post title, and this may not be it. It felt clever in my head, but by the time I saw it on the screen it felt more like stupid. But in the belief that to be great is to be misunderstood, I posted it anyway.

Also, there's a good chance that with the age demographic on DU, some of you may be saying "Who's Christopher Cross?"

But for the DUers who DO know who he is, this one's for you.

"3 million scovilles" hot sauce made from Carolina Reaper, Trinidad Scorpion, AND Ghost peppers

If you're looking to really test your might, then Jojo's Black Label Sauce might be for you. It's made with three of the hottest peppers in the world - the Carolina Reaper, the Trinidad Scorpion, and the ghost pepper - and includes habanero, hatch, and Tellicherry peppers to round out the flavor.

Black Label is a beast, topping the spice scale at just under 3 million scovilles. And when it's vacuum sealed onto a piece of jerky, Hans claims it can reach up to 5 million.

Uncomfortably Numb

A little prick that makes me feel a little sick...I have become uncomfortably numb.

Playing golf, wolfing down Quarter Pounders with Cheese, enjoying days filled with "Executive Time," and looking forward to his Diet Cokes being even frostier with his new $24 million fridges on Air Force One.

Almost daily reminders from my conservative friends on Facebook that "He gave up his billionaire lifestyle so that he could serve our country."

On and on and on and on.
