When will they apologize for lying and wasting Trillions on war in Iraq? Giving tax cuts during war?

It is just impossible to listen to these insufferable jerks going on and on about the budget and the deficit when they

lied to start a war which cost the US trillions,

gave tax cuts during this absurd abuse of power,

wasted a surplus and drove us into the biggest debt ever for no good reason

and now they blame the poor for the mess they made and want to cut off food for the 'least' among us.

It is so twisted we are even discussing this, what is wrong with these people?!

Always pointing the finger, it is time that twisted party apologize and stop blaming their victims for what they have done.

This is an abusive relationship, we need to make them own up to their abuse, apologize and stop!

or kick them to the curb-for good!

Same Banks that caused foreclosure crisis profiting by buying foreclosed homes to rent back to us

Wall Street’s foreclosure crisis, which began in late 2007 and forced more than 10 million people from their homes, has created a paradoxical problem. Millions of evicted Americans need a safe place to live, even as millions of vacant, bank-owned houses are blighting neighborhoods and spurring a rise in crime. Lucky for us, Wall Street has devised a solution: It’s going to rent these foreclosed houses back to us.

Since the buying frenzy began, no company has picked up more houses than the Blackstone Group, the largest private equity firm in the world. Blackstone manages more than $210 billion in assets, according to its 2012 Securities and Exchange Commission annual filing. It’s also a public company with a list of institutional owners that reads like a who’s who of companies recently implicated in lawsuits over the mortgage crisis, including Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and of course JP Morgan Chase, which just settled a lawsuit with the Department of Justice over its risky and often illegal mortgage practices, agreeing to pay an unprecedented $13 billion fine....

"In other words, if Blackstone makes money by capitalizing on the housing crisis, all these other Wall Street banks -- generally regarded as the main culprits in creating the conditions that led to the foreclosure crisis in the first place -- make money too."

Between 2005 and 2009, the mortgage crisis, fueled by racially discriminatory lending practices, destroyed 53% of African American wealth and 66% of Hispanic wealth, figures that stagger the imagination. As a result, it’s safe to say that few blacks or Hispanics today are buying homes outright, in cash. Blackstone, on the other hand, doesn’t have a problem fronting the money, given its $3.6 billion credit line arranged by Deutsche Bank. This money has allowed it to outbid families who have to secure traditional financing. It’s also paved the way for the company to purchase a lot of homes very quickly, shocking local markets and driving prices up in a way that pushes even more families out of the game.

“You can’t compete with a company that’s betting on speculative future value when they’re playing with cash,” says Alston. “It’s almost like they planned this.”

Is Fox "News" on our public airwaves?

I was told in another thread that Fox is only on cable, however when I was growing up Fox certainly was on channel 2 right along side the other networks.

If Fox is using our public airwaves to air any of their lies, someone needs to sue them for NOT serving the public interest and we can collectively pursue getting their license revoked.

Of course Fox is just the beginning of our problems, the others pretend to be liberal but are anything but, as they led the effort along side bush to attack Iraq.

But, it we went after Fox, perhaps the other 'news' stations will get a clue and start real investigative journalism again, or at least stop lying.

'long-hidden footage of second shooter' to be aired prove Lee Harvey Oswald did NOT act alone

Will 'long-hidden footage of second shooter' to be aired this week prove Lee Harvey Oswald did NOT act alone?

* Texas real-estate developer Stephen Bowen claims to have footage of JFK's assassination
* He says he footage was taken by a Houston news producer on November 22, 1963
* The tape reportedly depicts a second shooter hiding in the bushes along the route of JFK's motorcade
* Bowen is hoping to sell the footage to the highest bidder

By Alex Greig

A Texas real-estate developer is in possession of footage of John F. Kennedy's motorcade from that fateful day in Dallas that he believes supports the theory that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone.

Whether or not the footage is genuine isn't yet known, but if it is, it would represent a dramatic development in a story 50 years in the making.

Following the 50th anniversary of the death of JFK, Stephen Bowen, who is also a principal in small film production company, decided the time was right to sell the footage, which reportedly depicts a second shooter, to the highest bidder.

According to The Wrap, Bowen acquired the film from a Houston television news producer, who had held onto it secretly for more than 40 years.

While no one has yet viewed the footage, it's said to show a second shooter hiding in the bushes along the route the presidential motorcade took on 22 November, 1963.

'You can see a guy in the bushes with a gun,' the source told The Wrap.

Civics 101: Why does the media and the average American blame Obama for the health care law?

The way I understand it,

It is Congress that wrote the bill,

Congress discussed the bill,

Congress passed the bill into law with all of it's flaws

and maybe just maybe Congress should take the blame and fix the problems that Congress created with the creation of the law.

When Bill Clinton tells Obama to fix the health care law, doesn't he really mean that Congress needs to fix the law?

The whole 'Obamacare' name was to pin blame on Obama, but he is not a dictator.

Obama did not write the bill and demand Congress sign it (that was the health care industry)...

I just don't get how or why this is all about Obama. Am I missing something?
