Elon Musk backs 'tight' background checks for all gun sales in wake of mass shooting in Texas

I post this link to demonstrate how ridiculously pompous these billionaires have become. You didn't hear anything about what Elon Musk felt about anything besides his business interests, and frankly, nobody really cared.
Now the 'great' Elon Musk makes a play to buy a social media company, and suddenly everyone's supposed to take everything he thinks seriously.
Totally ridiculous.

"Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk called for “tight” background checks for all gun purchases while also backing gun ownership as a “safeguard” against political tyranny — a day after a lone gunman killed at least 19 children and two adults at an elementary school in south Texas.

In an email to CNBC, Musk blamed the media for giving murderers the attention he believes they crave by covering mass shootings."

Trump loses bid to avoid paying $10,000 per day contempt of court fine

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday lost an effort to stay a contempt of court order from a New York judge, and as a result still owes a fine of $10,000 per day, according to the state attorney general’s office.

Trump last week was found in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena from Attorney General Letitia James, who demanded he turn over records she wants for her civil probe of his company, the Trump Organization.

This is a breaking story.

The SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v Wade can be easily remedied

All it takes is enough people who are disgusted with the republican agenda to show up to the polls in November in such overwhelming numbers none of the GOP efforts to suppress the vote can overcome.

If the Dems have strong majorities in both branches of Congress, they can steam roll new legislation into law.

Will this happen? I doubt it. Until enough people get off their asses, we can expect more of the sane.
