About Me

I realize we are all in this together and will continue to experience an almost endless cycle of lifetime after lifetime until we get it right. You can see we have a long way to go but I know I am not alone and understand we must each try to make the world a better place one day at a time.

end of February 2014.

Yes Times are a Changin! This poll doesn't need our help....

My local television station, TV 6 News out of Negaunee Michigan posted a poll asking whether Michigan should legalize marijuana for tax revenue? Along with the poll they posted an article out of Denver showing how much tax revenue some counties had taken in since Colorado legalized the weed.

The current vote tally is 76% in favor of legalization with 24% against.

I can now see Michigan won't be far behind with the change.

Ukraine president goes missing as protesters seize office

Source: Aljazeera

Protesters have seized the Kiev office of President Viktor Yanukovich and the opposition has demanded a new election be held by May, as the pro-Russian leader's grip on power eroded and his whereabouts were unknown.

Anti-government demonstrators entered Yanukovich's compound in the capital on Saturday and were controlling the entrance, a Reuters news agency journalist at the scene reported.

Security guards were present inside the building but were not trying to expel the protesters.

The president's residence outside the capital appeared to have been abandoned. Local media said protesters entered the sprawling grounds but it was unclear whether they were inside the building. Interfax, a Russian news agency, said some security guards were present.

Ukrainian opposition leader Vitaly Klitschko earlier on Saturday said that Yanukovich had left Kiev and that the country must hold early elections.

"Today he left the capital," Klitschko told an emergency session of parliament, which was debating an opposition motion calling on Yanukovich to resign.

It looks as though Parliament has taken over... they replaced the speaker with Oleksander Turchynov who is the Senior member the "Fatherland Party". He is a close ally to jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko.

My Daughter lives in Kiev....her latest message

Copied from her latest posting...

This morning I am sad and proud.

At least three of my friends here in Kyiv have been affected within one degree of separation by the death of a protester. Some of these men leave behind young families, new families, or even entire communities they had a hand in shaping.

I'm sad that those dearest to my friends are suffering these losses. I am also proud that I count such brave and noble people among my acquaintances.

I am inspired and in awe of the will of the Ukrainian people. I feel at home here now more than ever when I see so many people standing up for their human rights and freedoms. Surely every person who values human dignity and freedom feels fraternity and solidarity with the Ukrainians at this time.

The struggle is not over. Please keep Ukraine and all others around the world who are fighting for a better, freer future in your thoughts.

Birds are amazing creatures....

This parrot is truly enjoying Ray Charles.....(who wouldn't right?)

However, it really shows creativity in how he/she dances and moves to the music.

This is my Daughter and I am soooo Proud of her....

She has been living in Kiev, Ukraine for almost 4 years now. This photo shows her and 3 of her friends (all Ukrainian) during the protests in either the end of December or beginning of January.

She lives and works near downtown and even ventured out to help give food and water to the protesters early on. She has since has decided to avoid the main protest area for obvious reasons.

She reported to me that the TV stations went down 2 days ago and she fears the internet won't be long to follow.

Fortunately the company she works for is allowing all employees to work out of their homes until further notice as long as they have the internet anyway. My Daughter is 2nd from the right of the four

I am Ukrainian.... make this video go viral!

I am not Ukrainian however my Daughter does live in Kiev and is trying to do her best to help this cause. I am very proud of her yet very concerned. MysticHuman
