Kid Destroys Dollar Store

One... where are the kids parents while all this is taking place.

Two... I think part of the reason it took so long for an adult to intervene, is because in
this day and age, who knows what kind of shit you open yourself up to by approaching
and touching a child that isn't yours.

CA rapper could face life in prison over album.

You go, CA!!

Rapper Tiny Doo charged; his album 'promoted' shootings, D.A. says

Among the 15 suspected San Diego street-gang members charged in a string of shootings is Brandon Duncan, an aspiring rap singer.
lRelated Rapper Too Short cited, was carrying loaded gun at airport, police say

Duncan, 33, who raps under the name Tiny Doo, is not accused of providing the guns or being present at the nine shootings that terrorized a neighborhood where the Lincoln Park gang has long used violence to protect its turf.

Instead, prosecutors are going after Duncan over something else: His latest album.

Prosecutors say that shows that Duncan fits the legal definition of a gang member who “willfully promotes, furthers, or assists in any felonious criminal conduct by members of that gang.”

------------------------

Trial is set to begin Dec. 4. Duncan remains in jail in lieu of $1-million bail. If convicted, he could face a sentence of 25 years to life in prison, Watkins said.

California Loses Bid to Revisit Ruling Striking Gun Rules

YES!!!

California Attorney General Kamala Harris and a police group lost a bid to join a lawsuit over local rules for determining who can carry a concealed weapon, as a federal appeals court left in place a decision that San Diego County’s gun permit rule violated the right to bear arms.

The decision by the court not to review the matter is a victory for freelance videographer Edward Peruta, who sued after his application to carry a concealed Colt 1911 .45 caliber pistol was denied by the San Diego sheriff.

A three-judge panel of the San Francisco appeals court in February ruled the county’s requirement that gun owners show a pressing need, such as a specific threat, in order to obtain a license to carry a concealed weapon was unconstitutional.

The 'Snappening' - 100k/200k 'SnapChat' pics could possibly be leaked

Allegedly, it's not a hoax.

I imagine this will strike closer to home, and resonate more with the public than the celebrity
nudes leak, and drive home the concept that...

A) somethings are better keep private (as in taking nude pics of oneself and uploading them).

B) There is no such thing as privacy in a digital era.

Explicit images sent via Snapchat have reportedly been leaked from a third-party app in an event being dubbed the “Snappening”.

Some 200,000 users of the app, many of whom are teenagers, have allegedly had their photos gathered by the third party over a number of years before the pictures were posted on a website.

The nickname “Snappening” is a nod to last month’s “Fappening”, in which nude pictures were stolen from the iCloud accounts of celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Rita Ora and Kim Kardashian and posted online.

Snapchat allows users to share videos and images that disappear 10 seconds after being received, but it is possible to save the pictures by taking a screen grab in that time.

No images have been published and there is speculation that the leak could be a hoax but some reports said the leaked images were stored on the servers of a website called Snapsaved, where Snapchat users could save their screen grabs rather than keeping them on their device.

If you had never heard of the anonymous online forum called 4chan or thought about the threat of leaked photos before last month, you're probably caught up now. The celebrity nude photo leak dubbed the Fappening and a marketing stunt threatening to leak naked pictures of Emma Watson both emerged from 4chan. And earlier today, a social-media strategist named Kenny Withers started blogging about talk on 4chan of a Snapchat nude-photo leak. Is the Snappening upon us?

Business Insider reports that hackers have a 13GB cache of sensitive or explicit snaps culled from a third-party snap-saving service that they are planning to match with Snapchat usernames and release on October 12. Estimates put the number of photos at 100,000 to 200,000.

This isn't a breach of Snapchat's servers. It's a trove of photos from a service that a user would install in order to automatically save incoming snaps—without the sender realizing it. Snapchat said in a statement:

The next frontier in rolling your own AR15 lowers.

Pretty cool concept even if it's not that economical as a method of manufacturing your
own off the books lower receiver...

What is Ghost Gunner?

Ghost Gunner is a miniature CNC machine designed to automatically manufacture publicy created designs with nearly zero user interaction. No prior CNC knowledge or experience is required to manufacture from design files. Defense Distributed's first design is the venerable AR-15 lower receiver. Ghost Gunner automatically finds and aligns your 80% lower receiver to the machine, with simple installation instructions, point and click software and all required tools. Just follow a few simple instructions to mount your 80% lower receiver, tighten a couple screws (with simple tools we provide), and on day one, Ghost Gunner can help you legally manufacture unserialized firearms in the comfort of your own home.

As shipped, Ghost Gunner can manufacture any mil-spec 80% AR-15 lower receiver that already has the rear take down well milled out. Lowers with non-mil-spec trigger guards that are otherwise mil-spec are also compatible. Defense Distributed recommends using the 7075 Ares Armor Raw 80% Lower AR-15 Billet, available for purchase here.

10 years ago on this date...

The Federal ban on certain assault weapons semi-automatic firearms, and magazines capable
of holding more than 10 rounds, expired into the trash bin of American history.

It was a joyous occasion indeed!

Why Gun Control Groups Have Moved Away from an Assault Weapons Ban

They'll still never learn though.

If by some slim chance they do manage to get UBC legislation passed, an AWB and mag
limits will be back at the top of their list.

The morning after the Sandy Hook shootings, Shannon Watts, a mother of five and a former public relations executive, started a Facebook page called “One Million Moms for Gun Control.” It proved wildly popular and members quickly focused on renewing the federal ban on military style assault weapons.

“We all were outraged about the fact that this man could use an AR-15, which seemed like a military grade weapon, and go into an elementary school and wipe out 26 human beings in less than five minutes,” Watts said.

Nearly two years later, Watts works full-time as the head of the group, now named Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, is a significant player in a coalition financed by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. But while polls suggest a majority of Americans still support an assault weapons ban, it is no longer one of Watts’ top priorities.

“We’ve very much changed our strategy to focus on public safety measures that will save the most lives,” she told ProPublica.

It’s not just that the ban proved to be what Watts calls a “nonstarter” politically, gaining fewer votes in the Senate post-Sandy Hook than background check legislation. It was also that as Watts spoke to experts and learned more about gun violence in the United States, she realized that pushing for a ban isn’t the best way to prevent gun deaths.

A 2004 Justice Department-funded evaluation found no clear evidence that the decade-long ban saved any lives. The guns categorized as “assault weapons” had only been used in about 2 percent of gun crimes before the ban. “Should it be renewed,” the report concluded, “the ban’s effects on gun violence are likely to be small at best and perhaps too small for reliable measurement.”
