The last stanza of a poem that I wrote and would like to post but...but...

But the higher nature of mankind
His toxic footprint will erase.
Our better angels shall prevail
And of his poison, there will be no trace.

We shall get to a better place.
We WILL get to a better place!

In my opinion, Kelly's comments today exacerbated the situation. In his efforts to

explain Trump's idiotic statement to Mrs. Johnson, Kelly places the blame on Rep. Wilson. The Idiot-in-Chief used the verbiage that was exchanged between Kelly and his Casualty Officer, an exchange BETWEEN TWO MILITARY MEN with a deep understanding of the commitment among those who serve. Where is the common sense that should make one understand that these words are NOT appropriate for the grieving widow of a fallen hero. To demean Rep. Wilson is beyond my expectation of Gen. Kelly.
