Deutsche Bank Building

The Deutsche Bank Building was a skyscraper at 130 Liberty Street in New York City, United States, adjacent to the World Trade Center (WTC)...

The Deutsche Bank Building was heavily damaged in the September 11 attacks in 2001 after being blasted by the avalanche of debris, ash, dust, and asbestos that spread from the collapse of the South Tower...

The collapse of 2 World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks tore a 24-story gash into the facade of the Deutsche Bank Building. Steel and concrete were sticking out of the building for months afterward...

...On August 18, 2007 at approximately 3:40pm, a seven-alarm fire broke out on the 17th floor of the building, caused by workers' careless smoking... By this time, the skyscraper, once 41 stories, had been reduced to 26, with crews removing a floor a week. At the time of the fire, crews were removing asbestos. The fire spread in both directions, affecting a total of 10 floors...

...Firefighting was additionally hampered as the building did not have a functioning standpipe, forcing firefighters to raise hoses up from the street to combat the flames... The fire burned into the night before being extinguished. 45 Engine Companies, 30 Ladder Companies, 3 Rescue Companies, 19 Battalion Chief Units, 4 Division Chief's Units, and numerous other special and support units responded from the New York City Fire Department to combat the fire.

The Deutsche Bank Building:

Struck and "heavily damaged" by debris- Check
Raging 7 alarm fire for hours- Check

Collapse into its own footprint- No Check

"The collapse of WTC 7 is the first known instance of a tall building brought down primarily by uncontrolled fires."

Jane Standley

Who wrote those words? She wasn't ad-libbing.

Almost everyone that is interested in 911 has seen that.

Not everyone has seen her appearance 3 hours later:

The BBC "Lost" these tapes (SIC) and then "Found" them.

We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy). So if someone has got a recording of our output, I'd love to get hold of it. We do have the tapes for our sister channel News 24, but they don't help clear up the issue one way or another.

one year later

The mystery of the missing tapes didn't last that long. One very experienced film librarian kindly agreed to have another look for us one night. There are more than a quarter of a million tapes just in the Fast Store basement at Television Centre. The next morning I got a call to say the tapes had been found. They'd just been put back on the wrong shelf - 2002 rather than 2001. Not so sinister after all.

A "Cock up". The Brits have a wonderful way of understatement.

Jane Standley Breaks Her Silence

Forbes: The Popping of the Shale Gas Bubble

Bill Powers "I write about oil and gas."
Forbes 9/03/2014

Shale gas plays in the United States, as of early 2010. (EIA)

For much of the past decade we have been inundated by reports of how the wonders of technology, specifically horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing, have unleashed a new era for energy supplies. Industry leaders have touted that shale gas, along with burgeoning shale oil production, will lead to America’s energy independence, kindle a manufacturing renaissance, lower bills for everyday Americans and create millions of much-needed jobs. While there is little doubt that booming shale gas production, along with a very deep recession put an end to the natural gas price spike of 2008, much of the accepted conventional wisdom about the longevity of the shale gas bonanza is wrong. America’s shale gas resources and reserves have been grossly exaggerated and today’s level of shale gas production is unsustainable. In fact, due the distortions of zero interest rates and other factors, an enormous shale gas bubble has developed. Like all bubbles, this one will pop sooner than expected and when it does, the aftermath will be very unpleasant.

By now I am sure you are saying to yourself, ‘Who is this guy?’ He certainly does not know what he is talking about since everybody who is somebody has been saying the exact opposite for a long time. From the US government’s Energy Information Administration (EIA), to Pulitzer Prize-winner author Daniel Yergin to T. Boone Pickens, to Michael Lynch; all these experts have supported the notion that we have a surfeit of natural gas just waiting to be harvested. How can they be wrong? Similar to the prevailing belief about the housing bubble before it burst, much of today’s thought regarding natural gas supplies has come from people with a vested interest in selling the dream of a ‘Shale Gale’ that will eliminate foreign energy imports, boost employment and increase GDP. However, reality is far different from what has been portrayed in the mainstream media. In my book, Cold, Hungry and in the Dark: Exploding the Natural Gas Supply Myth, published a year ago, I examine many of the reasons for this disconnect. Unlike much of the hyperbole published about shale gas, my book contains nearly 600 footnotes and much empirical evidence supporting my thesis. Cold, Hungry and in the Dark overwhelmingly refutes the idea that increasing shale gas production will create a “new era” in America’s economy and instead shows that a severe deliverability crisis quietly looms on the horizon. And, no, I am not an environmentalist with an ax to grind against the oil and gas industry. I am an independent analyst who has covered the energy industry for more than 15 years, an author and contrarian.

Make no mistake; shale gas production over the past 12 years has been nothing short of phenomenal. From a standing start a dozen years ago, shale gas production has grown to account for nearly 50 percent of America’s gas production. However, the shale gas boom is rapidly maturing and we are quickly approaching a point where shale gas production heads into decline. In fact, the majority of shale gas basins in America are already exhibiting declining production.

Before discussing how the coming natural gas crisis will unfurl, let’s debunk some of the most commonly held myths about the shale gas.

1) The US has a 100-year supply of shale gas. While many grandiose claims about the potential supply of shale gas, such as ‘the US has a 100-year supply’, have been made in recent years; almost none have ever been supported by any empirical evidence....

How Methane Wrecked Obama's Fracking Gambit

New science shows that in climate terms, natural gas may be no better than coal—and possibly worse.

—By Bill McKibben MotherJones.com | Mon Sep. 8, 2014

Hydraulic Fracture Pads in Wyoming-4 per sq.km

If you're a politician, science is a bitch; it resists spin. And a new set of studies—about, of all things, a simple molecule known as CH4—show that President Obama's climate change strategy is starting to unravel even as it's being knit. To be specific: most of the administration's theoretical gains in the fight against global warming have come from substituting natural gas for coal. But it looks now as if that doesn't really help...

...For a political leader, it was the very definition of a lucky break: Without having to do much heavy lifting against the power of the fossil fuel industry, the administration was able to produce results. In fact, it gave Obama cover from the right, as he in essence turned the GOP chant of "Drill Baby Drill" into "Frack Baby Frack." Not only that, the cheap gas was a boost to sputtering American manufacturing, making it profitable once again to make chemicals and other goods close to home. As Obama said in his 2012 State of the Union address, as his re-election campaign geared up, "We have a supply of natural gas that can last America nearly a hundred years, and my administration will take every possible action to safely develop this energy."

In his second term, Obama has become more vocal about climate change—and even more explicit in his reliance on natural gas to make the numbers work. Here's the State of the Union 2014: "if extracted safely, it's the bridge fuel that can power our economy with less of the carbon pollution that causes climate change."...

...Whether that strategy pays off or not, a likely result of the new EPA regulations, as Forbes magazine pointed out that day, is "the dramatic expansion of natural gas as a fuel for power generation." Some sun, some wind, but an awful lot of gas. In fact, the administration is so bullish on fracked gas that it is both moving to export more of our supply to other nations (it's even been suggested as a way to stand up to Vladimir Putin) and offering many countries technical assistance in learning how to frack on their own. (NTF: SEE: UKRAINE and R. Hunter Biden)A long list, including India, China, Indonesia, South Africa, and Mexico have taken up the State Department on the offer...

Can someone tell the President there's a better way?

Image: Darren Brode / Shutterstock.com

The organizing committee for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games intends to include the utilization of hydrogen energy in a basic plan for the Games, according to sources.

To take advantage of the 2020 Games as a trigger for the realization of a “hydrogen energy-oriented society,” the committee aims not only to spread the use of hydrogen as a next-generation clean energy source, but also to promote Japan’s environmental technology to the rest of the world, the sources said.

A number of fuel cell vehicles that run on hydrogen will be introduced to connect the Olympic Village and each venue for athletes. In addition, the Tokyo metropolitan government is considering adopting fuel cell-powered buses for the bus rapid transit system and other new types of public transportation systems to connect the area around Tokyo Station and the waterfront area along Tokyo Bay...

...The hosts of recent Olympic Games have emphasized the importance of environmental protection as a key concept for their preparations for and management of the events. Japan is proud of its state-of-the-art technology. For example, Toyota Motor Corp. plans to be the first in the world to sell fuel cell vehicles commercially within this fiscal year...MORE

"We have finally developed a car that can change society," Toyota Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada told Shinzo Abe in mid-July, when the prime minister visited a hydrogen fueling station in the western city of Kitakyushu.

Prof. Graeme MacQueen, author of "The 2001 Anthrax Deception- The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy"

This show was broadcast on September 5, 2014.

Canadian professor Graeme MacQueen has just released a terrific new book on the anthrax case – and ripped the lid off the lies and deceptions, proving that it was the neocon 9/11 perps (not Saddam, Osama, or Bruce Ivins) who did it.

The book, THE 2001 ANTHRAX DECEPTION: The Case for a Domestic Conspiracy, may one day stand beside David Ray Griffin’s The New Pearl Harbor as one of the rare books that changes history. Why? The anthrax case offers slam-dunk proof of a neocon conspiracy – and has even been officially deemed a false flag. Like the blatant, broad-daylight demolition of WTC-7, the perps’ anthrax screw-up represents a monumental achilles heel in the official story of 9/11-anthrax. Grab this thread and pull, and the whole thing will unravel. Please give this book to your congressional reps and tell them that if they don’t read it and do something about it, they are worthless ineffectual cowards simpering through a meaningless charade.

In this interview, we discuss the copious evidence of official foreknowledge of the fall 2001 anthrax attacks, including the June 2001 Dark Winter bioterror exercise that almost perfectly mimicked the attacks three months later. We also roll our eyeballs at the ludicrous and doomed neocon propaganda campaign – obviously coordinated by the anthrax perps – to blame anthrax (and 9/11) on the dual perpetrator “Saddam + al-Qaeda.” And we conclude that the 9/11-anthrax operation was designed to fulfill the neocon dream of overthrowing American democracy and installing an executive branch dictatorship under a state of perpetual war.

For more information on this topic, check out last week’s interview with journalist and anthrax expert Barry Kissin.

"This deeply troubling book should be read by thinking Americans, and even more so by the majority that do not."-- Denis J. Halliday, UN Assistant Secretary-General 1994-98

ReThink911 Billboard to Go Digital in NYC!

Huge Two-Sided Video Billboard in Times Square
One Block from the New York Times

...We found an even more stunning billboard just one block away at the corner of 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. Not only does this billboard draw maximum attention by facing in two directions while towering over one of the busiest intersections in Manhattan; but it’s also digital, which allows us to show practically life-size video footage of WTC 7’s symmetrical destruction. And that’s exactly what we plan to do!

For 15 seconds out of every two minutes, people walking by will see WTC 7’s free-fall descent — the vast majority of them for the first time — on two massive 45’ by 45’ screens. Altogether, we’ll reach 100,000 people each day, amounting to 3 million viewings from September 8th to October 5th! The message will be simple and powerful, encouraging viewers to trust their instincts about WTC 7’s smooth, symmetrical downward motion — and follow up at ReThink911.org

Even though we will no longer be speaking directly to the folks at the New York Times, most Times employees will see the ad on a daily basis, thus making it impossible for them to ignore the truth about what happened at the World Trade Center on 9/11. The upside, of course, is that millions of people will be treated to a high-impact viewing experience of the truth about the third skyscraper destroyed on 9/11.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who contributed toward the 13th Anniversary ReThink911 Billboard. We are disappointed, of course, that circumstances beyond our control did not allow us to follow through on the original plan. We hope, nonetheless, that you are as pleased as we are about the opportunity to show WTC 7 on enormous screens right in the heart of midtown Manhattan.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of the ad later this week!

The AE911Truth Team

It's no wonder why the peanut gallery of rude, belligerent and condescending people that attack those that want a new investigation seem to be getting more and more angry every day. If anything, their display of schoolyard tactics are causing more people than ever to question 911. So Thanks for that! And look for the NYC Video!

Victoria Nuland in 2013: "We have invested over $5 billion to assist Ukraine..."

@7:30 --"Since Ukraine's independence in 1991, the United States has supported Ukrainians as they build democratic skills and institutions, as they promote civic participation and good governance, all of which are preconditions for Ukraine to achieve its European aspirations," she said. "We have invested over $5 billion to assist Ukraine in these and other goals that will ensure a secure and prosperous and democratic Ukraine."-- Victoria Nuland

"Assist Ukraine"

"Fuck the EU" -Assistant Sec of State Victoria Nuland

Nuland’s husband is historian Robert Kagan, Council on Foreign Relations member, and co-founder of the think-tank "Project for the New American Century" (PNAC).

$5 billion for Ukraine, Zero for Detroit

Do you know anyone that will benefit from spending $5 Billion in Ukraine?

Airbus examines potential for using hydrogen fuel cells in commercial aircraft

Darren Quick Gizmag.com September 4, 2014

With the airline industry's commitment to halve 2005 CO2 emission levels by 2050 prompting Airbus and others to accelerate the development of alternative jet fuels, Airbus is now getting behind a project to examine the potential for using hydrogen fuel cells on commercial airliners – not to power the jet engines, but to replace the Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).

Located in the tapered tail cone section of the rear fuselage in commercial jet aircraft, APUs are small gas turbine engines responsible for generating on-board electrical power and heat when the aircraft is on the ground, as well as providing power to start the main engines.

With the goal of realizing emission-free and low-noise operation when the aircraft is on the ground, Airbus has teamed with South Africa's National Aerospace Centre to jointly fund research to examine the potential for hydrogen fuel cells to replace APUs...

...In addition to cutting emissions and noise on the ground, the use of fuel cells would also offer numerous other benefits. Being lighter than an APU, and with the potential to also replace heavy batteries, they would reduce the weight of the aircraft and therefore also the amount of fuel burned and emissions produced by the aircraft while in the air....

Related: Boeing's fuel cell aricraft circa 2008

MADRID, Spain, April 03, 2008 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced today that it has, for the first time in aviation history, flown a manned airplane powered by hydrogen fuel cells.

The recent milestone is the work of an engineering team at Boeing Research & Technology Europe (BR&TE) in Madrid, with assistance from industry partners in Austria, France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"Boeing is actively working to develop new technologies for environmentally progressive aerospace products," said Francisco Escarti, BR&TE's managing director. "We are proud of our pioneering work during the past five years on the Fuel Cell Demonstrator Airplane project. It is a tangible example of how we are exploring future leaps in environmental performance, as well as a credit to the talents and innovative spirit of our team."
A fuel cell is an electrochemical device that converts hydrogen directly into electricity and heat with none of the products of combustion such as carbon dioxide. Other than heat, water is its only exhaust.

A two-seat Dimona motor-glider with a 16.3 meter (53.5 foot) wingspan was used as the airframe. Built by Diamond Aircraft Industries of Austria, it was modified by BR&TE to include a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell/lithium-ion battery hybrid system to power an electric motor coupled to a conventional propeller.
Three test flights took place in February and March at the airfield in Ocańa, south of Madrid, operated by the Spanish company SENASA.

During the flights, the pilot of the experimental airplane climbed to an altitude of 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) above sea level using a combination of battery power and power generated by hydrogen fuel cells. Then, after reaching the cruise altitude and disconnecting the batteries, the pilot flew straight and level at a cruising speed of 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) for approximately 20 minutes on power solely generated by the fuel cells...More @youtube description

Anyone with water and electricity can make hydrogen. Shift Power.
