Israel is not an apartheid state and anyone who believes this should be ashamed of himself, a Muslim citizen of the Jewish state declared in a recent media interview a video of which has gone viral online this week.
Appearing on an Arabic-language news channel, Dema Taya a resident of the central Israeli city of Qalansawe told the program host, You live in this country and enjoy the full benefits of its citizenship. You are free to work, study, express yourselves and whatever you desire. You lead and educate the next generations in a state that respects you. Look at Syria, Iraq, Egypt and the rest of the Arab countries. What have they done for the good of their people?
Taya is currently in the US as part of a delegation conducting a speaking tour organized by Reservists on Duty to tell the stories of Israels minority communities.
Im proud to stand up and speak for Israel and that Im an integrated part of it, Taya said in the interview.

Islamic state claims Las Vegas shooting, says attacker recently convert to Islam
Source: Reuters
CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State has claimed responsibility for a shooting that killed at least 50 people and wounded over 400 in Las Vegas early on Monday, and said the attacker had converted to Islam a few months ago.
The Las Vegas attack was carried out by a soldier of the Islamic State and he carried it out in response to calls to target states of the coalition, the groups news agency Amaq said in reference to the U.S.-led coalition fighting the group in the Middle East.
The Las Vegas attacker converted to Islam a few months ago, Amaq added.

Strikes me as a bit opportunistic on the part of ISIS. I don't see a 64 year old itinerant gambler as being a likely Islam convert.
But you never know.
The Philando Castile Verdict Was a Miscarriage of Justice
The Philando Castile Verdict Was a Miscarriage of Justice
The National Review (YES, REALLY, I'M AMAZED) By: David French
June 17, 2017
Yesterday, a Minnesota jury acquitted St. Anthony, Minnesota, police officer Jeronimo Yanez of second-degree manslaughter charges in the shooting of Philando Castile. In considering the rightness of the verdict, pay close attention to the transcript of the fatal encounter.
Here it is, via CNN:
9:05:00 p.m. Castiles vehicle came to a complete stop.
9:05:15 9:05:22 p.m. Yanez approached Castiles car on the drivers side.
9:05:22 9:05:38 p.m. Yanez exchanged greetings with Castile and told him of the brake light problem.
9:05:33 p.m. St. Anthony Police Officer Joseph Kauser, who had arrived as backup, approached Castiles car on the passengers side.
9:05:38 p.m. Yanez asked for Castiles drivers license and proof of insurance.
9:05:48 p.m. Castile provided Yanez with his proof of insurance card.
9:05:49 9:05:52 p.m. Yanez looked at Castiles insurance information and then tucked the card in his pocket.
9:05:52 9:05:55 p.m. Castile told Yanez: Sir, I have to tell you that I do have a firearm on me. Before Castile completed the sentence, Yanez interrupted and replied, Okay and placed his right hand on the holster of his gun.
9:05:55 9:06:02 p.m. Yanez said Okay, dont reach for it, then. Castile responded: Im
Im
[inaudible] reaching
, before being again interrupted by Yanez, who said Dont pull it out. Castile responded, Im not pulling it out, and Reynolds said, Hes not pulling it out. Yanez screamed: Dont pull it out, and pulled his gun with his right hand. Yanez fired seven shots in the direction of Castile in rapid succession.
The seventh shot was fired at 9:06:02 p.m. Kauser did not touch or remove his gun.
9:06:03 9:06:04 p.m. Reynolds yelled, You just killed my boyfriend!
9:06:04 9:06:05 p.m. Castile moaned and said, I wasnt reaching for it. These were his last words.
9:06:05 9:06:09 p.m. Reynolds said He wasnt reaching for it. Before she completed her sentence, Yanez screamed Dont pull it out! Reynolds responded. He wasnt. Yanez yelled, Dont move! F***! If you read carefully, youll note that it appears that the officer shot Castile for doing exactly what the officer told him to do.
Yanez asked for Castiles license. Castile told him that he had a gun, and the officer rather than asking for his carry permit, or asking where the gun was, or asking to see Castiles hands just says, Dont reach for it then. At that point, Castile is operating under two commands. Get his license, and dont reach for his gun.
As Castile reaches for his license (following the officers orders), and he assures him that hes not reaching for the gun (also following the officers orders). The entire encounter, he assures Yanez that hes following Yanezs instructions. He died anyway.
Yes, the evidence indicates that Yanez was afraid for his life. He thought he might have been dealing with a robber (a fact he apparently didnt tell Castile), and he testified that he smelled marijuana. But Castile was following Yanezs commands, and Its simply false that the mere presence of a gun makes the encounter more dangerous for the police. It all depends on who possesses the gun. If hes a concealed-carry permit-holder, then hes in one of the most law-abiding demographics in America.
In recent months weve seen a number of cases where courts have excused police for shooting citizens even after the police made mistakes and the citizens were doing nothing wrong simply because these citizens were exercising their Second Amendment rights. This is unacceptable, and it represents the most extreme possible deprivation of civil rights and civil liberties. I understand the inherent danger of police work. I also understand the legal responsibilities of men and women who volunteer to put on that uniform, and the legal rights of the citizens theyve sworn to protect and serve. Im aware of no evidence that Yanez panicked because Castile was black. But whether he panicked because of race, simply because of the gun, or because of both, he still panicked, and he should have been held accountable.
The jurys verdict was a miscarriage of justice.

I post this mainly because I'm amazed this came from the right. But it's also well-written and well-reasoned.

Watch: Muslim carrying machetes nabbed in London

Police forces nabbed a Muslim man near Newman street in London while carrying several machetes in his backpack.
Police apparently followed the man from the store where he purchased the machetes and detained him as he entered the neighborhood.
Less than a month ago, a man brandishing a meat cleaver threatened Jewish residents of the Stamford Hill neighborhood and attempted to break into a kosher food store. After employees of the store locked the door, the man entered a second kosher grocery store shouting Where is the boss, I will kill him!
The man then chased after two Jewish boys, aged 14 and 8, shouting You Jews run away form here before I kill you, JTA reported.
A little levity
Trump, as you know, was recently at the Vatican and in Jerusalem. What a lot of people don't know were some special meetings.
In his private meeting with the Pope, the Pope presented Trump with a golden telephone. "With this phone, you can talk directly to G-d," said the Pope. "But, of course, it's long distance, so keep the call short to keep expenses down."
Trump somewhat hesitantly picked up the golden phone. Sure enough, HaShem answered, and they had a nice chat.
When Trump was in Jerusalem, the chief Rabbi, presented him with a platinum phone. "Ah, I know what that is," said Trump. "A direct line from G-d! But I have to keep the call short because of the long distance charges."
The Rabbi looked at Trump bemused. "Oh, yes. This is a direct line to HaShem. But talk all you want. The call is local from here."

Texas Pre-School Teacher Removed From Classroom After Twitter Calls to Kill Some Jews Come to Light
by Lea Speyer
A pre-school teacher in Texas has been suspended from the classroom pending an investigation into her encouraging social media followers to kill some Jews, The Algemeiner has learned.
Nancy Salem, who teaches at The Childrens Courtyard in South Arlington, as The Algemeiner first reported, was among 24 anti-Israel activists at the University of Texas, Arlington (UTA), exposed by covert campus watchdog group Canary Mission for expressing racist and violent thoughts online.
Salem a member of the UTA chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine and a supporter of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement used her now-disabled Twitter account to post such remarks as: How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough
HAHAHAHA.
Since Canary Missions exposure of Salems social media behavior, the Childrens Courtyards Facebook page has been flooded with comments criticizing the institution and calling on parents to remove their children from the school.
In response, the school stated, Our senior management team is working to address this matter. This in no way reflects the views of The Childrens Courtyard. We strive to provide an inclusive environment for all children, families and staff members. We also expect our employees to uphold standards of personal and professional conduct.
The Algemeiner was unable to reach Salem for comment, as she has closed her social media pages and the school declined to share her contact information.

Note bene: I am not terribly familiar with the source. Assuming it is similar to the paper (which started in the 1970s), I am assuming it is a centrist/center-right Jewish site with a decidedly pro-Zionist slant. No mainstream sources appear to be talking about this. When I google, I get Pam Geller and other radicals. Long way of saying: take this with a grain of salt.
