trump, Gop, repubs ... you have to protect our children

If you force children back into a classroom without protecting them and their teachers ... then you need to go the way of the Dodo Bird, extinct!

It’s commonly believed that the dodo went extinct because Dutch sailors ate the beast to extinction after finding that the bird was incredibly easy to catch due to the fact it had no fear of humans, (why it didn’t fear the creature many times its size is a mystery for another day). This is, for the for the most part, pretty accurate. It is noted that after sailors landed and settled on the island in 1598, the dodo’s population rapidly declined and other sources confirm that the dodo was indeed hunted by sailors looking for an easy snack, since the dodo’s ungainly gait and lack of a third axis of movement made it relatively easy to catch.

"We learn from history that we do not learn from history." ― Georg Hegel

It seems as if we are having to live through things that we already should have learned to avoid .... like putting a Nazi racist in power.
Oh and so much more pain from lessons not heeded.

A Brief History of "Happenings" in 1960s New York

These are scenes that unfolded before audiences in a handful of New York galleries and spaces at the start of the 1960s. “Happenings
,” as the performances were known, combined elements of dance, theater, music, poetry, and visual art to blur the boundaries between life and art and forge a path for new methods of artistic practice. But for all their historical significance, this genre of work remains elusive and ephemeral—art historian Kirk Varnedoe once said that attempting to preserve the Happenings would be “like trying to catch wind in a butterfly net.”

"If only one man dies of hunger, that is a tragedy. If millions die, that's only statistics."

"In the days when Stalin was Commissar of Munitions, a meeting was held of the highest ranking Commissars, and the principal matter for discussion was the famine then prevalent in the Ukraine. One official arose and made a speech about this tragedy — the tragedy of having millions of people dying of hunger. He began to enumerate death figures … Stalin interrupted him to say: “If only one man dies of hunger, that is a tragedy. If millions die, that’s only statistics.”

Ignorance, is no excuse under the law we are told

BUT WHITE PRIVILEGE, SURE AS HELL IS ... and trump sure as hell tries to play that card about russian bounties

Ignorantia juris non excusat or Ignorantia legis neminem excusat is a Latin maxim which means "ignorance of the law does not excuse" or "ignorance of the law excuses no one." The rationale of this maxim is that if ignorance of law was an excuse then any person charged with a criminal offense or subject of a civil suit can claim that he or she was unaware of the law in question and avoid liability.
