EEO's JournalThe Roosevelt Party - Branding and the Details
The records of FDR, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Teddy Roosevelt taken together cover many of the ideals liberals hold dear. While those ideals were limited by the era they lived in, the name Roosevelt can help us lead the Democratic Party back to the left through educating our fellow Americans how socialism is one of the things that makes America great. Liberals should be known as Roosevelt Democrats, as should politicians who have records in line with liberal ideals.
What we need to do is make a clear platform of what liberalism offers to Americans, both in the present and in the future, so Roosevelt Democrats can be identified and ranked. On that subject, I recently found this site, which ranks members of Congress as liberal or conservative:

Once we come up with a framework of what we want the Democratic Party to look like then we can decide how to get it done.
Eight Reasons to Stop Freaking Out About the Supreme Court's Next Obamacare Case

I hope this optimism is well-founded. The Court is extremely pro-business and the law is making the healthcare industry a lot of money.
Democrats Duped by the Caucus Room Conspiracy
Democrats Duped by the Caucus Room ConspiracyAt the Caucus Room restaurant here in Washington, DC, Republican leaders drew up a plan to sabotage President Obama at every point possible and deny him any sort of legacy.
Over juicy steaks and fancy cocktails in a private room in the back of the restaurant, the Republican bigwigs promised each other that they would filibuster and obstruct any and all legislation supported by President Obama.
The Democrats never fight back and always play on the Republican Party's field. A defensive strategy is an ultimately self-defeating strategy. Where the fuck is Howard Dean?
The Roosevelt Party - a party within the Democratic Party that actually champions liberal ideas.
Whose candidates explain them clearly and are proud to stand by them during an election and once elected. And I can't think of a better name than the Roosevelt Party. Such a party should exist. It would force the Democratic Party to have a conversation about what its true principles are.

Martha Coakley is a loser. She couldn't sell water to a person who was on fire.
She lost Teddy Kennedy's seat to Scott Brown in 2010 and yesterday she lost to a Republican in the race for Governor of Fucking Massachusetts. She is a joke.

U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D) from the Great State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations has been reelected. One of the least shocking things that will happen tonight. The man is a solid New England liberal.
Probable 2016 Republican National Convention Intro. of POTUS Nominee
Even though the 2014 Election hasn't happened yet the GOP is already planning big things for 2016. An unnamed source claims the Republicans go all out in their introduction of their nominee for POTUS in 2016.
What would FDR's first words be if he could see today's political and social mess in America?
I think they would be, "How did you fuck things up so thoroughly in such a short span of time?"
The assassination Jack Kennedy was one of the major turning points in our history.
Everything Jack tried to do to end CIA influence over policy, reduce the size of the military, rein in the power of the military industrial complex, deescalate things between us and the Soviets, and scale back US presence in Vietnam were stopped almost immediately after his death. Like most reformers, he became a target of the entrenched interests with the real power behind our government. His brother's assassination only confirmed the death of real reform and a deviation from the course we have been on since. Their assassinations symbolized the death of optimism, shattering the dream of what America could be, and ended the trust many Americans had in their own government creating a cancer of suspicion that has only metastasized ever since.
Every day we are seeing the overwhelming power of the same interests Kennedy tried to fight. Our current foreign policy is constant war and filling the pockets of people who help us kill others. This is the new normal in this "republic," or oligarchy, or whatever we are now.
