GOP Unveils "Say Good Bye Program" for Illegal Immigrant Kids

GOP Unveils "Say Good Bye Program" for Illegal Immigrant Kids

WASHINGTON (The Nil Admirari): Earlier today, the Republican Party announced a bold new community outreach initiative named the Say Good Bye to Mommy and/or Daddy Program. Called simply the Say Good Bye Program, it involves each Republican in Congress personally informing the US citizen children of illegal immigrants they must "say good bye" to one or both of their parents.

...

If a child who is an American citizen is left with no guardian after deportations a state's child protection program will take custody. The Say Good Bye Program does not apply to children who are illegal immigrants themselves and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) stated, "those kids are illegal persons and gone."

...

In related news, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) has stopped visiting the homes of illegal immigrants after several complaints he was "visibly drunk and singing La Cucaracha."

The Republican Hunger Games

The Republican Hunger Games

(CNN)Is it just me, or are some Republican candidates behaving a tad aggressively these days?

Consider this: Carly Fiorina, a onetime CEO of a large computer company (now polling at 2%) is suddenly showing up outside Hillary Clinton events to grab the attention of the gathered press corps. And how does she do it? By staging an "availability" in which she takes on Clinton, completely unprovoked. As if to say: I am woman, hear me roar -- at another woman, as only I can. (We've come a long way, baby.) So please notice me -- which we are.

That's one way to get attention...

Vatican Warns Italians Not to Treat Gays Like People

Some satire following the great development in Ireland where about 62% of voters passed a constitutional amendment legalizing marriage equality.

Vatican Warns Italians Not to Treat Gays Like People

"The Catholic Church will not be embarrassed by Italians who want to give consenting adults of the same gender the same rights as consenting adults of different genders," warned Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi.

Lombardi made sure to remind Italians of their past trespasses by adding, "We are still pissed off about that 1974 divorce referendum you totally ignored the us on, you unrepentant sinners and breakers of vows."

I posted this at Discussionist for the conservatives who blame Obama for Iraq and forget history...

For those who blame Obama for what is happening in Iraq, some facts...

Obama wanted to keep about 10K troops in Iraq (which I admit is lower than what the Pentagon and Iraq wanted at the time), but the Iraqis would not drop their demand to have the right to charge and prosecute U.S. soldiers for crimes under their law (which George W. Bush allowed to be put in the agreement negotiated right before he left office).

The United States was not going to stay unless our troops had immunity. It tried to renegotiate that component, but the Maliki government said 'no.'

Below is a PDF of the Status of Forces Agreement negotiated by George W. Bush right before he left office, which gave Iraq authority to charge and prosecute our people.

Take a look at Article 12 and Article 22.

It's always fun happy party time at Target. Target Stores Anti-Union Propaganda.

I love how Target sort of takes credit for labor laws that are only in existence because of labor unions so they can argue those laws already exist so don't join a union...

And let's not forget the scary union music...

Majority of Iraqis Miss Saddam Hussein, Blame America

Some satire commenting on the state of Iraq...

Majority of Iraqis Miss Saddam Hussein, Blame America

::SNIP::

In the midst of a war with the Islamic State (ISIS) a large percentage of Iraqis said they missed their deposed and executed dictator Saddam Hussein, according to poll results released today. Over 80% of Iraq's population pined for the years of internal stability Saddam Hussein maintained by ruthlessly cracking down on political dissenters and sectarian religious conflicts.

::SNIP::

&

::SNIP::

"Saddam Hussein was a dictator who checked Iran's influence in the region and made sure extremist groups like al-Qaed could not set up shop in Iraq. So American propaganda that painted Saddam as a religious zealot patiently sitting on nukes was pretty stupid," stated Hashim Boutros.

'Totally-Not-Gay Christian Leaders of America' Founded

'Totally-Not-Gay Christian Leaders of America' Founded

CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE (The Nil Admirari): A group of conservative Christian leaders announced the founding of a group called the Totally-Not-Gay Christian Leaders of America (TNGCLA) today. The nonprofit organization's primary mission will be to fight the gay civil rights movement while making it clear to everyone none of its upstanding members are gay.

Neely continued, "And we will call gay sinners out at every turn for their wicked, kinky, and oh... is.... is it hot in here?"

A solution for all of those religious leaders who don't like the gays except when they are one of them...

Exclusive: China warns U.S. surveillance plane

Source: CNN

Above the South China Sea (CNN)The Chinese navy issued warnings eight times as a U.S. surveillance plane on Wednesday swooped over islands that Beijing is using to extend its zone of influence.

Seeking to further challenge China's military build-up in the South China Sea, the plane conducted a reconnaissance mission over a contested military installation being constructed on a manmade series of islands.

A CNN team was given exclusive access to fly onboard the P8-A Poseidon, America's most advanced surveillance and submarine-hunting aircraft, as it flew over the islands.

Exclusive: China warns U.S. surveillance plane

Very creative of the Chinese to make their own islands to seize control of the region. They are going to be a worsening problem.

I wonder what will happen when they shoot one of our planes down...

Bobby Jindal signs 'religious freedom' order protecting same-sex marriage opponents

Bobby Jindal signs 'religious freedom' order protecting same-sex marriage opponents

(CNN)Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal issued new protections for businesses that refuse to serve same-sex marriages, embracing the "religious freedom" cause dear to conservative Christians even though it's stung other Republican politicians.

Jindal, a prospect for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, issued an executive order on Tuesday after saying he was disappointed that a Statehouse committee had earlier in the day voted down a bill that would have accomplished the same goal.

"We don't support discrimination in Louisiana and we do support religious liberty," Jindal said in a statement. "These two values can be upheld at the same time."

"Indeed, we celebrate diversity of belief in Louisiana. Diversity of belief and religious liberty are the foundation of our law and Constitution and they should be protected," he said. "As long as I'm governor, we will fight to protect religious liberty and not apologize for it."

I know the likelihood of him being president is the same as him being emperor of the moon, but he is a bad man who should be called out for trying to use this issue for his benefit.
